Dussehra is a reminder that we all have the power to conquer the "Ravan" within us—those habits or behaviors that hold us back. This year, I had the honor of guiding an independent activity where my students not only crafted statues of Ravan, Kumbhakarna, and Meghnad but also took ownership of their own growth and leadership. Following the principles of "Leading Self, Leading Others, and Leading India," they divided responsibilities—some gathered sticks, others collected ropes, while a few focused on cutting paper for attire and decoration. They worked with determination, creativity, and, most importantly, a shared sense of purpose. What moved me the most was when they took the time to reflect on their personal challenges. Each student wrote down a habit they wanted to overcome and symbolically placed it on Ravan, embodying the festival’s deeper meaning of self-improvement. Their journey wasn't just about building statues; it was about building themselves—leaders who recognize their strengths, collaborate effectively, and take meaningful steps toward positive change. This is what leading the future looks like. Teach For India #Dussehra2024 #LeadingWithPurpose #TeachForIndia #LeadershipInAction #GrowthAndReflection #EmpoweringYoungMinds

Empowering Changemakers | Connecting Talent with Purpose | Social Impact | Fellowship Recruitment | Strategic Headhunter | Teach For India | Ex- Growth360 & Unison International🍀
#Latepost 💌 Last Saturday, we held our inaugural Be the Change Project (BTCP) Immersion for Teach For India Fellowship applicants. The event highlighted the unique opportunities beyond #classroom #teaching #Fellows do in their Year 2 to empower kids and the community. We stepped into the Aya Nagar community to witness the magic of "Growth Gali" a Be The #Change Project run by Samvedan Nilesh. Samvedan and his "Little Rockstar" showed us the magic of #Calligraphy, music, and #Love. 💜 The best thing about this event was that the kids supported participating in writing their name in calligraphy with so much #empathy and love, literally rooting for them when they said oh, I am not able to do it, but they said, "YES, YOU CAN." 😍 These little rockstars are in grade 4, and my eyes can't believe their calligraphy skills. 😲 I witnessed that Samvedan has not just taught them a skill to learn but a skill to earn; kudos to you, my friend 🙂 We also witnessed parents' emotional reactions to their children signing "Believers" for the first time, which was incredibly heartwarming. Their words of appreciation for the support and guidance provided by BTCP were truly touching. ❤️ A Shout-out to participant Dishant, who traveled from Chandigarh on an emergency flight to attend the immersion space. Gulsi, a first-time visitor to North India, literally got lost in Metro ki galiya but still made it just in time to know more about the #Leadershipdevelopment program. One thing that stood out to me was Dishant's description of Growth Gali as a "Khusiyo ki galiya." 🌼 I am incredibly grateful to Samvedan, Sulagna Chakraborty, and Ishita Chakrabarty for their support throughout the immersion. 🌺 I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to my amazing team, Bharti . and Megha Chaudhary for their exceptional leadership and organization during the event. 🤗 If you want to be part of this incredible community, apply now; the upcoming deadline is 20th October, Sunday, 11:59 PM Link to apply: If you are interested in knowing more about the Teach For India Fellowship, write to me at ajita.nair@teachforindia.org #BTCP #TeachForIndia #GrowthGali #Education #Inspiration #Community #leadwithlove
