    Depending on closed platforms with complicated terms of engagement that keep changing without being intimated is alarming!! Two recent incidents ❇ Linkedin taking down profiles of a few friends because they use an automated prospecting tool. Everyone knows its a grey area how they find who to block and when to block. ❇ Another friend during a producthunt launch got his profile flagged and taken down for a few hours while he was executing his distribution strategy for the launch. Founders/GTM team needing predictable channels to focus on is a topic of discussion and especially when you are early stage and working with a lean team. Every effort you take matters and it takes a lot to trust a channel and start adding it to the overall funnel strategy. There are a few channels which still is somewhat free space to engage and execute being your good old email marketing and website traffic. It just that we need to adapt to the changes but yet who know the written rules. I believe we need to revive them and leverage AI for the same. At zeroztep me and Akshay have been looking at this problem at large and have some exciting insights to share and the first one is, Platforms you don't control have to be used to only for those prospects you think you are 100% sure you need toreach out. Linkedin should not be a part of your spray and pray and PH not every time you need eyeballs. Pick and choose who needs your attention more. PS: Having said that we are doing our first ever Product Hunt launch on September 27th. Will keep sharing the experience here. We are going-to-market in public.     Last week was all about meeting folks in Banglore! Learning negotiations with our OG HSR Founders Club and Sales 101 folks and then SAASCON. Meeting familiar folks at #SAASCON was a good refresher.     Day 2-4 building zeroztep from HSR: Chicken or egg it is. - Building the backend full-time. All the scraped data are now in Turso - A database of around 16M companies have been created as a table in GCP. On to Supabase now 💪 - Wireframes for MVP is progressing: - Picked up a micro SAAS on the way. A tool that can help contextual personalisation for SDRs. Not a Lavendar or Humantic but fingers crossed here. - User interviews are at 7/100 🔥 Also met Sahaj who wore a crazy t-shirt. Founders at HSR have dope wardrobe.

    Day 1 at HSR - building zeroztep. 🔥 Let there be light moment. - Started the day with calls with our design partners. Rootfor.xyz: Ashik and team were looking to scale their user research calls for their AI lead CRO tool. We recently ideated about picking hot conversation as a intent signal for cold outbound. We tried building a dataset around this and was time to put it through a litmus test. Created a short 7 day sequence with 190 prospects who were talking about this product. - Sandeep was talking about 100 user research interviews to create a jobs to be done framework and we picked it up. Created a questionnaire based out of Mom Test. Finished a blurb around who and what we want to talk about it. We are currently circulating it using communities and got out first 2 calls booked. 2/100. - Ashik came back with the results of the campaign: 2 positive replies within the first 5 hours of running a campaign. A lot of validation around "Contextual Reachouts" we stand for. Small win. - Building MVP is still stalling. Bandwidth is becoming a serious issue and we decided to add a few members to our tech team. #hiring for data engineers and front end developers. - Evenings are for HSR Founders Club afterparty planning these days. Hunting venue, deciding menu. Finishing conversations on partnerships and event calendars. We are so damn ready to host other founders now. A lot of exciting stuffs here.     HSR Founders Club is one year old. Started as a whatsapp group for friends who were building their own startups around HSR, Banglore has now grown to be 450+ member strong community that helps each other from day to day chores of building an organisation, party and celebrate together on the good days and even to have a shoulder to crib and cry on the bad days. Personally this has been one of the most fulfilling experience I have been part of. While building zeroztep every day have been a challenge and a lot of them became simpler since I had support from these many founders at HSR. Sharing a few of those times when another founder from HSR Founders Club bailed me out. Sandeep Rapti Nikhil have been always there a call away from day one helping me ideating and keeping my mental space as clean and productive as possible. Most of the days when I feel low it was just a call and 15 mins later we would be sitting at any one of those cafes in HSR with some candid discussions. Akshay Hangloo for selflessly putting in efforts helping me build data pipeline and scraping systems. Possibly meeting Akshay was a point at which the whole idea of building a product started taking life. Rison and Manoj for always coming in with the tech support whenever I needed an expert eye on the tech side. Nishant and Sushant for always hosting the poker nights and keeping it chill at weekends. We still got a lot of FIFA sessions left :P So here is what we are doing from now on. We are going to build in public and starting tomorrow I will start posting blurbs around how we are building the product here at zeroztep.
