Our Head of Corporate Communication, Events & Partnership Giovanna De Cesare and our Head of Social & Governance Projects & Sustainability Culture Graziella Farfaglia attended the 12th edition of “Salone della CSR e dell’innovazione sociale”, an event dedicated to bring together stakeholders including businesses and sustainability professionals to discuss the challenges and opportunities of social #sustainability. Intervening in the panels "Business and Culture: Positive Cross-Contamination" and “Infrastructure and Social Commitment”, Giovanna and Graziella had the opportunity to shed light on our commitment to the #social side of the #ESG. While Giovanna talked about our mission to enrich the passengers experience with #art and #culture at Rome #Fiumicino airport, Graziella emphasized our commitment to make the airport a hub for the community, where gender #equality is promoted and educational opportunities are provided to the younger generations. Once again, we were at TTG Travel Experience - ITALIAN EXHIBITION GROUP, with a #stand showcasing our willingness to speed up towards the future and keep transforming the customers journey (for instance, through innovative e-services such as Shop&Fly and easy Parking). 🚀   In this context, our Director of Aviation Business Development Federico Scriboni, during the roundtable ‘Transport: Organizing for the Future’, highlighted how Rome #Fiumicino airport is currently the European airport with the fastest growth (+24% compared to last year and +12% to 2019), especially with regards to the #international market - accounting for 80% of total volumes, and delved into our #strategies to meet the growing demand in passengers’ traffic, ahead of the upcoming Jubilee in 2025.   Another panel at #TTG saw the participation of our Head of Government and Local Authorities Relations Massimiliano Cardullo: he took the stage during the panel ‘All Routes Lead to Rome: Journeys Worth Taking’ underlining our strong #investment in the 'Fly&Visit Rome' platform, which enriches the travellers’ experience and makes the discovery of Italy’s cultural treasures more accessible to international #passengers by easily integrating a #stopover in Rome into their trips: a challenge and, at the same time, an opportunity that we aim at pursuing in collaboration with the relevant institutions.   👏Thanks to all our colleagues for contributing to make this three-days event a #success!   #TogetherBeyondFlying

Over the past three days, our team partecipated in the 29th edition of the event “Routes World Conference 2024”, which took place at the #Bahrain International Exhibition Centre, welcoming over 2,300 delegates in representation of 230 airlines and 530 airports from around the globe. Our Director Aviation Business Development Federico Scriboni, our Head of Route Development Claudio Faustini and our Route Manager Long Haul Davide Lo Franco attended the prestigious gathering of aviation professionals and industry leaders, where over 9,000 meetings took place and a significant news for our airport was announced: Oman Air will start operating on December 20, 2024, with 4 weekly flights from Muscat to Rome #Fiumicino! ✈️ #TogetherBeyondFlying

As part of our commitment to #inclusion and accessibility, we are pleased to join the international “United For Dyslexia” campaign, which is celebrated today, October 8th, on the occasion of #WorldDyslexiaDay, by lighting up the fountain and the NPU building at Rome Fiumicino airport, as well as the main entrance at Rome Ciampino airport, in turquoise blue. This initiative, coordinated by the International Observatory of Dyslexia and Other Specific Learning Difficulties (OIDEA) in collaboration with the International Dyslexia and Family Organization (DISFAM), aims to raise #awareness about this learning disorder, which affects at least 10% of the global population and is often detected late due to its completely invisible nature, leading to isolation and school dropout. Inclusion and accessibility are not just about infrastructure, they are about breaking down the visible and invisible barriers that prevent everyone from reaching their potential. #UnitedForDyslexia #TogetherBeyondFlying

Last weekend, with our Managing Director ADR Mobility Antonio Fraccari and the Team, we participated in the 4th edition of Rom-E, the three-days event launched by the conference Rom-E Talk, which gathered institutions and industry experts to talk about the future of #mobility.   The prominent event, focused on #sustainability and the #ecological transition, took place at Villa Borghese, in the centre of Rome, where we welcomed hundreds of families with their children at our stand. There, we had the opportunity to share ideas and projects aimed at making the #travel experience more efficient and environmentally friendly.   We showcased our concrete commitment to promoting green mobility in our airports and in the entire ecosystem of the Capital, through easy Parking and our innovative ADR e-move parking facility - the 1st in Italy dedicated exclusively to electric vehicles.   With over 74 parking spaces already operational and an expansion plan underway, #ADR e-move stands out as a model of excellence in sustainability, actively contributing to the reduction of emissions associated with airport access.   We would like to thank everyone who participated in the event and contributed to fostering a constructive dialogue toward a more sustainable future. New frontiers are about to open up for airport innovation, as our #InnovationHub signed a new Memorandum of Understanding with Lufthansa Innovation Hub, Lufthansa Group’s Berlin-basedinnovation center! ✈️🌍   The MoU, signed through our CVC fund #ADRVentures, aims atfostering #innovation and accelerating the development of groundbreaking solutions for the global aviation industry.    The key areas of collaboration will be: 🚀 Partnership for ADR’s #RunwaytotheFuture acceleration program, including the exchange of information on innovative #startups, new projects and pilot tests, in addition to the hubs’ respective KPIs 💡Joint development of pilot projects, with the planning of proofs of concepts (PoC) to regularly test potential innovative solutions, as wellas to develop common expertise for current and future projects 🤝Collaboration with startups, based on exchanging views on the advances in the startup ecosystem, as well as know-how on trends, market dynamics and the status quo of the venture capital sector.   The recent #RunwaytotheFuture Acceleration Program’s event wasthe opportunity to kick off the partnership, an important step towardsthe airport of the future. 1st day of class at #Fiumicino airport’s #NewtonRoom 🚀 - the high-tech, #STEM-focused classroom developed by Aeroporti di Roma, Boeing and FIRST Scandinavia.  Students from Fiumicino’s G.B. Grassi school had the chance to learn about #knots and nautical miles, using compasses and protractors to navigate through space. Supported by our instructors and working with advanced technologies, including flight simulators, the students successfully completed their mission 👏🏻✈️💫 So exciting to contribute training tomorrow's flight operators in such an innovative way! 🤩 #TogetherBeyondFlying

With an investment of over €38 mln, this cutting-edge facility is set to become a benchmark for continuous pilot training, further strengthening Fiumicino’s role as a leading international aviation hub. The state-of-the-art center spans over 2,500 square meters and is equipped with the latest simulators, providing advanced, immersive training for more than 4,800 pilots annually.
