🗞️ We are glad to share today's interview on La Repubblica by Emma Bonotti with Carlo Montella, Managing Partner at #GreenHorseLegal, about the potential and challenges of #EnergyRelease 2.0.   Carlo shared his insights on this innovative measure aimed at stabilizing energy costs for energy-intensive companies while promoting renewable energy development. Here are some key takeaways:   💡 For Energy-Intensive Companies: 🔸 High interest due to the opportunity for stable energy prices in a volatile market. 🔸 A significant challenge lies in the requirement to build renewable energy plants with a capacity at least double the energy allocated by the GSE. For example, a company consuming 1 GWh must install around 1.3 MW of renewable capacity—far from straightforward given that newly authorized plants in Italy now average 10 MW or more. 🔸 Tight deadlines mean companies must seek pre-authorized solutions, yet finding suitable installations matching decree requirements can be challenging. 🔸 Aggregation with other companies is possible but involves non-standard contracts and risks, like tight construction deadlines , that are outside their control.   💡 For Renewable Energy Producers: 🔸 They could play a strategic partner role, boosting their project pipelines. 🔸 Success hinges on meeting tight deadlines and overcoming the highlighted hurdles.   The government's intent with this measure is certainly commendable and is generating significant market interest. #GreenHorseLegal with Innovo Renewables S.p.A. for the acquisition of 22 MW of solar capacity Green Horse Legal Advisory assisted Innovo Renewables in the acquisition of 2 PV plants, including one agrivoltaic plant, and in the execution of agreements for the purchase of a third PV plant, with an aggregated capacity of 22 MW. #GreenHorseLegal with ING and Albion S.r.l. in a EUR 108 million cross-border holdco project financing   Green Horse Legal Advisory assisted ING Bank (as, inter alia, lender and facility agent) and Albion S.r.l. (as documentary agent) in structuring a EUR 108 million green loan holdco project financing to EOS Investment Management Group. The facilities will have the purpose of financing and, partially, refinancing a portfolio of PV plants with a total capacity of approximately 257 MW, including about 158 MW located in Italy (in Lazio and Sardinia) and approximately 99 MW in Spain, the latter already in operation.   The team at Green Horse Legal Advisory was composed of Carlo Montella, Maria Teresa Solaro, Marco Balzano, Andrea Oddo, Celeste Mellone, Giulia Guidetti, Chiara Grotto, Laura Galbiati and Riccardo Malaguti.
