Agrivoltaics – Regulatory Focus: Partnerships Between Farmers and Energy Operators What are the contractual types available, their pros and cons? Which are the key provisions operators should focus on? Celeste Mellone and Giulia Guidetti, members of the regulatory team at #GreenHorseLegal, have shared essential tools to navigate the evolving regulatory landscape surrounding a successful partnership between agriculture and energy production—key for any successful agrivoltaic project. Celeste Mellone will further explore this topic during the conference “Agrivoltaics Beyond the PNRR: Innovation and Sustainability for Italian Agricultural Enterprises”, organized by QualEnergia.it, on Wednesday morning, January 29, in Verona as part of Fieragricola Tech. 🗞️ We are glad to share today's interview on La Repubblica by Emma Bonotti with Carlo Montella, Managing Partner at #GreenHorseLegal, about the potential and challenges of #EnergyRelease 2.0. Carlo shared his insights on this innovative measure aimed at stabilizing energy costs for energy-intensive companies while promoting renewable energy development. Here are some key takeaways: 💡 For Energy-Intensive Companies: 🔸 High interest due to the opportunity for stable energy prices in a volatile market. 🔸 A significant challenge lies in the requirement to build renewable energy plants with a capacity at least double the energy allocated by the GSE. For example, a company consuming 1 GWh must install around 1.3 MW of renewable capacity—far from straightforward given that newly authorized plants in Italy now average 10 MW or more. 🔸 Tight deadlines mean companies must seek pre-authorized solutions, yet finding suitable installations matching decree requirements can be challenging. 🔸 Aggregation with other companies is possible but involves non-standard contracts and risks, like tight construction deadlines , that are outside their control. 💡 For Renewable Energy Producers: 🔸 They could play a strategic partner role, boosting their project pipelines. 🔸 Success hinges on meeting tight deadlines and overcoming the highlighted hurdles. The government's intent with this measure is certainly commendable and is generating significant market interest. Our concern, however, is that its application may be limited or fall short of expectations. 🙏 We sincerely thank Emma Bonotti for the interview which is available in today’s edition of La Repubblica.

Introducing the "Energy Nova" Podcast We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our new podcast, #EnergyNova, a space dedicated to exploring the most pressing topics in #renewable energies, groundbreaking technologies, and market trends. Inspired by celestial objects that radiate energy, the name reflects our mission to shed light on the key issues shaping the future of the energy sector. Our first episode dives into a pivotal theme: the energy transition. How is it progressing? What have we learned from past transitions? And, most importantly, what could have been done better—and still can? The discussion highlights why this transition is not only essential but critical. To decarbonize our economy and be energy independent, Europe must reduce its dependence on fossil fuels, as the continent lacks its own substantial energy resources, such as oil and gas. However, a critical aspect of this energy transition is the fact that it was largely decided "from the top down," which brings significant complexities. Another pressing challenge is the constant increase in energy demand, partly driven by the rise of AI and other energy-intensive technologies. These advancements, while transformative, amplify the urgency to develop efficient and sustainable energy systems to meet growing consumption needs. Joining us is Iacopo Magrini, CEO of #GreenHorseEngineering, a distinguished expert in energy transition technologies. With a profound understanding of both the technical and economic aspects of the sector, Iacopo offers a critical perspective on the state of the energy transition, sharing actionable insights on what’s needed to accelerate change. The podcast is hosted by Daria Buonfiglio, Head of Strategic Marketing and Communications at Green Horse Advisory, who brings her expertise and passion to guide the conversation and uncover valuable insights. A special thanks to Martina Manzoni, who has brought this project to life through her incredible work on graphics and editing. Her creativity and dedication have been key to making Energy Nova a reality. The episode is a deep-dive interview, rich with reflections and forward-thinking strategies that no energy professional or enthusiast should miss. 🎧 Tune in now to Energy Nova and join us in the conversation on: Spotify: https://lnkd.in/dYC-Gfqd Apple Podcast: https://lnkd.in/dTJtQBcc Our website: https://lnkd.in/dg6jbdMy
