We’re excited to announce the launch of our cleaning and logistics & care services at Landesklinikum Baden Health Agency of Lower Austria, where as of November 1, 2024, approximately 100 dedicated employees have been offering a variety of tasks, including daily routine cleaning, deep cleaning, and patient transportation. What makes this moment even more special? Landesklinikum Baden was actually the very first contract we signed in Austria back in 1986. Busy day at our headquarters! We had the pleasure of hosting students from the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano's Entrepreneurship and Innovation Master. They met our colleagues from Markas’ Food Division to explore how corporate catering works and brainstorm fresh, innovative solutions. Looking forward to seeing their ideas come to life!

Over the past couple of days, we were thrilled to take part in the XII MePAIE Healthcare Conference, exploring "The Paradigm Shift in Healthcare" and particularly to dive into discussions around "In-Hospital Transport in the Digital Era: A Chance for Greater Efficiency." It was an invaluable opportunity to discuss innovation, digitalization, and enhancing outcomes in healthcare, while addressing the challenges and possibilities that come with centralizing processes and adopting new technologies. Today, we are excited to be at the #CareerFair 2024 at the Libera Università di Bolzano! This annual recruitment event brings together over 70 local, national, and international companies and institutions, offering students, graduates, and alumni the opportunity to connect with leading employers. It’s a great opportunity to be here and meet talented individuals and discuss potential career opportunities within Markas, where innovation, sustainability, and professional growth are at the core of what we do.

Today, Markas took part in an online Work Talk organized by the Università Telematica San Raffaele, aimed at students and recent graduates in Human Nutrition Sciences. During the event, Markas’ HR and Quality teams shared valuable insights into emerging roles in Collective Catering, focusing on quality systems and food safety. It was a great opportunity for dialogue and discussion, allowing participants to learn more about professional growth opportunities in a company that prioritizes quality and innovation.

Last Friday, we had the privilege of participating in a meeting organized by the Digital Leadership Club Innsbruck, curated by Prof. Dr. Anne Gfrerer and held under the patronage of Rector Veronika Sexl of the Universität Innsbruck. The club's mission is to bridge the gap between science and business, fostering collaboration and innovation by bringing together experts from diverse fields and serving as both a platform and a source of inspiration. Prof. Dr. Antje Bockreis delivered an insightful keynote on waste treatment and resource management. We also had the opportunity to engage with other companies, discussing the sustainability challenges they face and the steps they are taking toward a more robust circular economy. The meeting also featured engaging discussions on driverless mobility, artificial intelligence, and robotics. We left with a wealth of new insights and ideas. We're already looking forward to the next meeting!
