We're more than happy to share with you all the exciting news that The Art of Light has been selected in the ADI Associazione per il Disegno Industriale Index 2024. It's a project we really care about and, despite the fact it was a temporary installation, we conceived the project as a unique occasion to showcase the magic and the power of light. Enjoy the video, there's no better way to see what our work is all about. ELLE Decor Giuliano Andrea dell'Uva Antonio Perazzi https://lnkd.in/dkqyaW-X

Following the theme of responsibility and the importance that our role as lighting designers calls us to have, we would like to share with you today a presentation from last May, held in occasion of the AIDI ASSOCIAZIONE ITALIANA DI ILLUMINAZIONE National Congress by arch. Marinella Patetta, written with Eugenia M. Marcolli.   The presentation highlights the central importance of our role in driving a positive change and becoming advocates for new ethical and eco-centric values, activating and supporting a virtuous cycle among the main actors in a complete and integrated architectural process. Discover more at the link below and leave a brief comment about your experience in the field! https://lnkd.in/dMeKhbpJ

The commitment to recognizing the role of Lighting Designer in our studio has deep roots and finds expression in the independent activities we have supported and assisted over the years, in our work with the Master program for Lighting Designers education at Politecnico di Milano, APIL Associazione Professionisti dell'Illuminazione, AIDI ASSOCIAZIONE ITALIANA DI ILLUMINAZIONE and other many occasions: lectures, meetings, conferences and discussions. However, the Lighting Designer profession remains largely hidden, rarely declared as one's "primary" occupation, and is certainly challenging and often misunderstood. That's why a few days ago, when Alessandra Noto from Paola Lenti invited Marinella Patetta to the presentation of the book "Lucia Pescador - ALBUM 900" (highly recommended reading, btw), we got a bit emotional! It doesn't happen often – actually, it never happens – but when it does!

As every year, this October we have just concluded a day of lectures for the students of the Master's in Lighting Design at Sapienza Università di Roma, which involved several designers from our studio: a journey through methods and designs, focused on retail lighting. Each presentation covered a specific topic and all together they provided a complete and complex picture of the subject that requires, at the same time, an extraordinary attention to detail and a comprehensive vision. Speakers: Marinella Patetta, Luca Carapezzi, Eugenia M. Marcolli, Giuseppe Scuderi. At the link the Dior Flagship store in 30 Avenue Montaigne, a project with a particularly meaning to us and a milestone for all in the category of retail lighting design.

We are, above all, proud to have been part of this meaningful project,  fully aware of how good lighting can significantly enhance comfort and foster a sense of intimacy and trust within a space among the people who inhabit it, contributing to the broader goal of community enrichment through art and design. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such an impactful initiative that bridges art, design, and community. Bvlgari + Save the Children International

15 years of a powerful partnership between Bvlgari and Save the Children: 2 million children reached, 105 million dollars raised through the sale of our Save the Children collection, and countless heartfelt stories to tell. These important achievements are celebrated by the voices of our people!  Let’s hear Nausicaa’s story – Architect in Bvlgari Interior Design department – who experienced firsthand the concreteness and solidity of this important collaboration. Nausicaa participated in fact in the project to create the Punto Luce delle Arti in Ostia, near Rome, helping in the realization of a Save the Children educational point that offers children and teenagers a tailored space to grow and develop their talents.  “I think the role of the architect is to transform a space that is no longer loved into a welcoming place, to see with other eyes what was in darkness instead.”  15 years together. With me, with you.   #Bvlgari #WithMeWithYou

We are thrilled to announce that Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts in Roma has received the prestigious Award of Merit from IES (Illuminating Engineering Society) for "its outstanding contribution to lighting design". This achievement stems from a perfect synergy with ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel as a result of an enduring and long-standing collaboration. The exceptional building, its breathtaking city views, and a complex vision of excellence in hospitality by Bulgari formed the foundation upon which our lighting project was meticulously developed and flawlessly executed. For those who haven't yet seen it, we invite you to explore a curated selection of images on the dedicated page of our website: https://lnkd.in/dR4u_2mr

It has now become our little tradition, a couple of times a year, to choose a place, an exhibition, an opportunity for beauty that we have nearby, and enjoy it together. Last week we had the great privilege of being welcomed by Triennale Milano and having the monographic exhibition on Gae Aulenti explained to us by one of its curators: nina bassoli. It was an extraordinary journey made of insights, bold thoughts, revolutions, and much light. Among the reproduced settings there’s a room from Palazzo Grassi, a project on which our Marinella Patetta and Claudio Valent, very young lighting designers collaborating with Piero Castiglioni, focused spotlight by spotlight for many consecutive nights. Those are simple and important moments to live as a studio that strengthen bonds, open our eyes to what surrounds us, and offer a chance to share thoughts, opinions, ideas.
