Working for hosting high school students next week in the Lab! 🔬🚀 The students will have the opportunity to understand BB84 protocol for Quantum Key Distribution (QKD)! Stay tuned to see if they will choose to be Alice, Bob or Eve…. #QuantumFun #BB84 #QKD #ScienceInAction
Chi siamo
The Quantum Internet is governed by the laws of quantum mechanics. Hence, weird phenomena with no counterpart in the classical Internet, such as no-cloning, quantum measurement and entanglement, have the disruptive potential to completely change markets and industries.

Today at CNR in Rome, during the National Quantum Science and Technology Institute (NQSTI) National Congress, Professor Angela Sara Cacciapuoti was invited to open the technical session of the NQSTI plenary. The talk summarized our ongoing research on quantum network connectivity, exploring the engineering of network connectivity beyond the physical topology constraints in quantum network. It was a great opportunity to meet with friends and colleagues, exchange ideas, and discuss future directions! Looking forward to what’s next! ⚛️

This week, part of our team had the pleasure of attending the Future of Communications III workshop organized by Connectivity Section Aalborg Universitet. Dr. Jessica Illiano shared part of research work conducted by the QuantumInternet Research Group: from the Quantum Internet design to the recent applications of multipartite entanglement. Our PhD students Laura d’Avossa and Francesco Mazza presented their work on quantum transduction and entanglement-enabled connectivity in QLANs. A heartfelt thank you to Petar Popovski and the entire organizing team for the warm welcome and outstanding event! It was a truly memorable experience, and we’re excited to follow up and build on the connections made! 🌍
