<Event attendance> Our Global south (South Asia, LATAM and Africa) head, Satoshi Nagata made a lecture to Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Social Innovator Hub/SIH program organized by Dream Incubator in 東北大学. SIH is a project that provides a forum for talented young people from Japan and developing countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America, where the environment is very different, to think together about various social issues and co-create new solutions. At the lecture, Satoshi made a presentation to SIH students based on his Sagri experiences in emerging countries. At the session, he introduced our sevice and projects to Ministries from Africa. At the presentation and panel discussion, Shunsuke made an introduction of our smart and carbon farming approaches in APEC. Sagri has raised approximately USD 6.8 million (JPY 1 billion) in Series A funding. The funds raised will be used not only for products such as the decarbonization business, but also to further accelerate recruitment, strengthen product engineers and the R&D organization, and build a global organization structure. On August 6th 2024, in Phnom Penh, in the presence of the Japanese Ambassador in Cambodia, JETRO - Japan External Trade Organization and JAXA: Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, Kazuki Sakamoto, head of ASEAN Business had the opportunity to introduce Sagri's business to Cambodian Prime Minister H.E. Hun Manet and make a policy proposal for expanding the carbon credit market using satellites and AI. At the meeting with the Prime Minister, Sagri made a presentation on behalf of Japanese companies and Prime Minister H.E. Hun Manet commented that he would form a working group for carbon credits, including the Cambodian Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Agriculture.

The MOU was signed in the presence of the Cambodian Minister of Agriculture, Minister of Environment and the Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia.

<Event attendance report> Our India director, Satoshi Nagata joined the online training for companies in the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Private Sector Partnership Programme (JICA Biz Programme), "Day 1: Reality and Attractiveness of Business in Developing Countries". In the programme, he gave a lecture on the history of Sagri business and Hard Things in developing countries to the participating companies together with Tomonari Takeuchi from Deloitte and koji tokita from HAKKI AFRICA LIMITED.
