How do we help satellites find each other in the darkness of orbit? 🛰️ Space rendezvous is crucial for satellite maintenance and debris removal, but extreme orbital lighting conditions make it challenging. Automated systems would make these operations more efficient.. Our researchers Vincent GAUDILLIERE, Arunkumar Rathinam, Mohamed Adel Musallam, Leo Pauly, Miguel Ortiz del Castillo and Enjie Ghorbel partnered up with LMO, to develop a solution using a dual-camera system, powered by AI, that combines visual and thermal imaging.
