The RESILIENCE lander remains in excellent health as it continues to orbit Earth in its planned trajectory towards the Moon! RESILIENCE knows what it means to be alone in the vastness of space. Looking back at Earth on Jan. 25, 2025, the lander was about 10,000km from our Blue Marble, poignantly capturing Point Nemo, the most remote place on our planet, about 2,688 kilometers from the nearest land. #ispace #HAKUTO_R #VentureMoon #RESILIENCE #TENACIOUS #M2Images

Mission control operators in the HAKUTO-R Mission Control Center in Nihonbashi, Tokyo have confirmed that the Deep Space Radiation Probe (DSRP), a customer payload from the National Central University of Taiwan that is aboard the RESILIENCE lunar lander, is receiving telemetry and collecting radiation data as it travels through space! During its flight, the DSRP payload will continuously measure and collect data on the radiation environment in and outside the Van Allen belts, deep space, and on the lunar surface. The radiation data is extremely important for the design of spacecraft and future lunar facilities, as well as for manned activities on the lunar surface, and it is hoped that it will contribute to future lunar missions. The RESILIENCE lander is in good health and in the Earth orbit phase of it's planned trajectory towards the Moon! In this photo, taken about 5 minutes after separation from the SpaceX launch vehicle on Jan. 15, 2025, at an altitude of approximately 10,000km above Earth, you can see RESILIENCE giving us a hearty greeting against the dark backdrop of space. Visible are the landing gear and the TENACIOUS rover MLI cover. #ispace #HAKUTO_R #VentureMoon #RESILIENCE #TENACIOUS #M2Images

🚀 Congratulations ispace, inc. on the successful launch of HAKUTO-R Mission 2! The European Space Agency is providing tracking and communication support to the mission. This support was captured in action at our deep-space station in New Norcia, in Western Australia yesterday, shortly after the team established first contact with the spacecraft. The antenna belongs to our global ground station network (#Estrack), managed from #ESOC. In the background, Mission 2’s destination – the Moon – illuminates the sky above the station's newest addition: a second deep-space antenna. The new antenna is set to enter service later this year and will enable ESA to meet the rising demand for communication bandwidth from its own and partner missions across the Solar System. 📸 ESA/Ralf Schneider

Mission 2 Milestone Success 4 ✅🌙 The RESILIENCE lunar lander successfully completed its first orbital maneuver at 19:40:18 UTC, Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, at 250,000 kilometers from Earth, setting the lander on a course towards the Moon and verifying operation of the main propulsion system, as well as the related guidance, control, and navigation system! The orbital maneuver required a main thruster burn that lasted approximately 16 seconds. RESILIENCE is currently in Earth orbit (① in the image). Next it will complete a lunar flyby, known as Success 5, and then enter a low energy transfer orbit (② in the image). Stay tuned for updates!
