🚨 Call for Service Providers: Legal Framework Analysis for Hydrogen-Powered Aviation in BSR HyAirport Project! 🚨 We're seeking expert service providers to support the BSR HyAirport project by analyzing legal frameworks and delivering recommendations for implementing hydrogen-powered aviation across the Baltic Sea Region. Project Focus: The BSR HyAirport project is driving the adoption of green hydrogen (GH2) as a sustainable energy source in aviation. Key areas include: Assessing regional supply options for GH2 at airports. Navigating legal and safety requirements for GH2 storage and handling. Developing procedures for refueling and managing hydrogen-powered aircraft. Key Deliverables: - Comprehensive analysis of existing legal frameworks in BSR countries. - Identification of regulatory challenges for hydrogen-powered aviation. - Strategic recommendations for legislative changes to facilitate GH2 integration in the aviation sector. 🚗💨 It is doable! 💚 In a year marking the 35th anniversary of the "Baltic Way", The Latvian Hydrogen Association team successfully connected Baltic States capitals by driving a hydrogen-powered Toyota Mirai on two key routes: - Riga – Tallinn – Riga => 653 km - Riga – Vilnius – Riga => 623 km 🚘 **With only one refueling per route!**  done at Rīgas satiksme Hydrogen Refuelling Station!! This symbolic journey connects the Baltic capitals once again, this time powered by clean energy, showing how far we've come in both technology and collaboration since the historical human chain in 1989. These journeys have just proven that hydrogen is the future of sustainable travel! 🌍✨ 🌱 Hydrogen is more than a concept—it's a reality. A huge step for clean mobility in the Baltics, and we're just getting started! 💪🌍 P.S. 💡 To find ways how European hydrogen valleys can support Latvia's potential in renewable green energy, for the first time an international investment conference, the first Latvian Hydrogen Forum, Tech Tour, took place in Riga, bringing together start-ups, investors, national and local decision-makers. 💰 Price challenges in the hydrogen sector "Previously, from the companies selected in the last eight years, 81% raised money, and 77% was about to attract investment after they were at the Tech Tour. We think this figure will be somewhat lower on hydrogen, because hydrogen sector has a price competitive challenge compared to other energy sources, like oil gas coal, which are, of course, carbon heavy. But hydrogen is actually a very smart transportation tool for energy coming from solar and wind sources, or biomass, and transforming that into a liquid or fuel to be delivered to big industry or transport usages. The challenge is present at different levels.
