We are excited to announce that the Emissions Trading Portal-2 (EHP2) is now live, a project we have realized in close collaboration with the Dutch Emissions Authority (Nederlandse Emissieautoriteit). This innovative platform supports fuel suppliers in meeting their obligations within ETS-2, marking an important step in the fight against climate change. As of yesterday, fuel suppliers can log in to the EHP2. Within a few weeks they will be able to submit their permit applications and set up monitoring plans. We look forward to further expanding the portal with Mendix technology, and continuing to contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable world. Flying in on Sunday late night to join our CLEVR / Siemens Manufacturing Day in Norway, which started this morning. Spent the last 20 minutes of the flight to (re)watch one of my favorite episodes of Breaking Bad, obviously starring Walter White. The one (for the fans: Season 5, Episode 8) in which the more power Walter gets, the more ruthless he becomes. The episode gets to a point where what Walter envisions is something that does not even occur to other ruthless people anymore. At a point, Walter asks one of his "fixers" - Uncle Jack - to take out a group of men simultaneously, who are now serving prison sentences, in different prisons. Yep, quite challenging indeed. Upon Jack assuring Walter that this is not possible, Walter responds with his famous and by now iconic quote stating that "it could be done EXACTLY as I want it. The only question is: Are you the one to do it..." Aside from the criminal intentions of Walter White in this specific episode, the quote speaks volumes about trust and precision, which are the essence of successful digital transformation as well. Just like in Breaking Bad, where trust and precision are key, digital transformation isn't just about new tools. It's about rethinking everything we do. It requires the right people and expertise to not only envision a better future, but to make it happen. It's not enough to have a vision. You need the right partner to bring it to life, or, as we say at CLEVR: To build tomorrow together. And this is exactly why the above anecdote came up again when - our by now friend of the CLEVR show - Antti Kaiser of Siemens Digital Industries Software presented today during his keynote that "gaining competitive advantage relies on a holistic transformation: People, Technology & Processes". Holistic transformation in the words of Siemens and CLEVR requires trust and precision, bringing together clever People (Expertise), Technology (Siemens, Mendix) & Processes.
