We are Verve. Designers, developers and strategists who transform good brands into great ones. We grew up as a digital agency, and we love the possibilities it gives us to work faster (and better), jump on new technologies and forge deeper relationships with users. We combine our digital-first mindset with razor-sharp strategy and outspoken design to distil a product’s energy into an unforgettable story. The first step is dissecting a brand to its true essence, before rebuilding it with the strong personality, distinctive design and digital direction it deserves. At the same time we empower it with a flexible, scalable platform that adapts fast to user needs and new technologies.   • Verve is growing. A few weeks ago, we mentioned our search for a Senior Team Lead. Now, we’re adding a Junior Team Lead into the mix. Both project management roles are hybrid, with three days a week in either Amsterdam or The Hague.   • We’ve met the next generation of creative industry pros. And the future is looking bright. Last Friday, we hosted a group of finalists for ADCN | Club for Creativity’s Future Student Program at the Verve Amsterdam studio. Hailing from Fontys Hogeschool and Hogeschool Utrecht, this eager group spent the day hopping around agencies in Houthaven for focused sessions on distinct creative disciplines. Led by our Senior Brand Strategist Ben Reisler, Verve’s workshop unpacked the art of crafting strong brand narratives. These finalists applied Ben’s strategic framework to campaign concepts they’ve been honing throughout the program. We can’t wait to see the final campaigns come to life.   • Strong motion builds emotion. Sounds simple enough, right? Depends who you ask. At Verve we know that moving 2D or 3D elements can elevate a brand across all touchpoints. But, the kind of movement must meaningfully connect to the brand story you're telling. That can be as simple nodding to how product features work, how a user should feel or the spirit of company you're scaling up. In any case, these assets should never feel like motion for motion's sake. And in the brand's we've helped create, it never does.

Founders Niels, Jaap and Gilles approached us with a bold vision for their website rebrand that could emulate the tactility of their vibrant product range. Partnering with Baast Studio, who developed the jaw-dropping 3D tile tool, we helped Palet. to redefine their store into a platform that encourages customer’s to try their own hand at ceramic artistry.   • Verve is growing. We’re looking for a Senior Team Lead (Project Manager). It’s a hybrid role with three days a week in either our Amsterdam or The Hague studios. Our newest team member will be someone who enjoys bringing Living Brands to life, and bringing their whole selves to the workplace. We’re looking for experience that should include: 6+ years in an agency-like setting, a background in managing branding projects with a multidisciplinary team of strategists and creatives, and being comfortable working with detailed financial planning.   • Growing pains. Every team, in every company, gets them. And the quicker the growth, the more acute they tend to feel. Now that our work with Bynder is live, Verve visited their sleek Amsterdam HQ to speak with Ljubica Jovanova about diagnosing and treating the scale-up’s own growing pains. “When we were solely an Amsterdam-based company,“ she says, “Everyone we’d meet already knew Bynder. Our brand evolution for Bynder takes detail just as seriously as they do. The beloved heart-slash-paperclip logo was always going to stay and continue to serve as the company’s North Star, but Verve elevated Bynder’s wordmark to better harmonize with this instantly-recognisable design. And then? We started dreaming up designs for branded Bynder swag.

  • Bynder is in a turbocharged phase of growth. Across the crowded Digital Assets Management landscape, this team has scaled up rapidly to play in the global market. And they’re playing to win. At this critical moment, Verve was brought on board to evolve the existing Bynder brand and help shape their way they tell their story. Our strategy team distilled this down to one core message: that Bynder puts content at the heart of your business. This heart-led strategy informed every decision our design team made in refining a distinctive wordmark, developing a new visual language and establishing motion principles that Bynder’s own content teams can utilise when creating world-class marketing materials. The result is a damn good brand refresh for true leaders in DAM.
