The original wool pioneer. Elevating adventure since 1853. Designed and tested in Norway. Made in Europe.
Om oss
Devold of Norway AS is an independent company with a long and proud history. We have produced high-quality wool clothing since 1853, and we are thereby the oldest manufacturer of knitted garments in Norway. Our aim is the same today as when Ole Andreas Devold founded the company 160 years ago: to create comfortable, high-quality clothing that protects people against the elements. Devold of Norway serves two different markets, offering sports & leisure wear and protective work wear. Our goal is to maintain our renowned product quality, which is the result of a long tradition of craftsmanship combined with the best available technology, while continuing to develop new functional garments of appealing design. Devold® sports and leisure wear comprises a wide range of comfortable wool underwear, socks, headwear, various types of mid-layer garments and knitted sweaters. Within protective clothing we supply underwear, mid-layer garments, socks and accessories. All designed to protect users against cold, heat and flames.

As we prepare to release our Transparency Act report later this week, we are so proud of our sourcing team and textile mill, who have laid the groundwork over the years by partnering directly with suppliers 💯👏👏 That’s why we earlier this year uploaded all our suppliers, across all tiers, to the Open Supply Hub – and we are inviting you to explore the origins and processing of the fibres and materials in Devold’s products. Check out the graph below by Alexis Bateman and Leonardo Bonanni, learn more about our choices and see if you think we placed our logo correctly: ➡️ https://lnkd.in/deyHvPgB

Ny miljøavgift vil gi mer plasttekstiler, mindre ull

Transparency matters. Devold reached peak transparency last week by publicly releasing our supplier lists – encompassing all tiers from our own mill, down to the smallest thread used for embroidering our labels and, naturally, our wool grower partners. It’s readily accessible: https://lnkd.in/deyHvPgB 💯 With this commitment, Devold not only fulfils but exceeds the requirements of the Transparency Pledge of Clean Clothes Campaign with Human Rights Watch and more. Transparency facilitates collaboration with civil society in identifying, assessing, and mitigating actual or potential adverse human rights impacts. This step is critical in strengthening our human rights due diligence. #BizHumanRights #DueDiligence

By providing unparalleled visibility into our supply chain, we're not only strengthening trust with our stakeholders but also enhancing our ability to make informed decisions and mitigate risks. ❞ — Øystein Vikingsen Fauske, CEO of Devold of Norway, doubles down on Devold's commitment to human rights and transparency ❝ETI welcomes Devold’s decision to publish their full supply chain data on the Open Supply Hub. Doing so benefits civil society, trade unions and the public, as well as Devold itself. Transparency of this degree contributes to greater accountability, supports business in identifying and mitigating risks and facilitates collaborative remediation in when human rights abuse occurs. We encourage other businesses to follow suit. ❞ — Kate Lewis, Ethical Trading Initiative Head of Membership and Communications Check out our interactive map, hit us up with questions, and let’s work together to drive a positive impact! 👇 #GoTransparent #PeakTransparency
