Ever heard of a high-performing troll? Even though I’m Norwegian, the only troll I know of is the unwavering Troll gas field in the North Sea. Over time, we have upgraded the capacity in the gas value chain. Since the start-up back in the ’90s, the Troll field has never delivered more gas to Europe than over the last year. Within the “gas year”, that runs from 1 October and a year on, the Troll field alone produced at an all-time high and covered 11% of European gas demand. That is quite impressive. Equinor is the largest supplier of energy to Europe, and we are well prepared to deliver the gas that industries and households need. Going into the winter, storages are at a healthy level, but we see a sensitive gas market with a high level of uncertainty. The end of the gas year coincides with the third quarter, which we report on today. The high-performing Troll is one of the highlights. Here are a few others: -         The Johan Sverdrup field delivered a production record of more than 756 000 barrels in one day -         We completed an extensive turnaround programme -         The Northern Lights facility was finalised and is ready to receive CO2 In total, we deliver solid operational performance and financial results. We are on track to deliver strong cashflow from operations for the year. Check out the details in this presentation:

This spring, a Universum survey showed that Equinor maintained a strong position as one of the country’s most attractive employers among students in Norway. And now in the fall, I am happy to see that in this year’s Universum survey for experienced professionals, Equinor has been named as Norway’s most attractive employer. The survey – with almost 10,000 respondents – surveyed professionals working in disciplines such as economics, engineering, IT, legal, humanities and health. I think that Equinor is a great place to work, but it is rewarding to see the company receive external recognition as well. Check out our career page for open opportunities at Equinor.

Today is World Mental Health Day. Although we should look after our own and others’ mental health 365 days a year, this day gives us an opportunity to pay extra attention to the importance of mental health. This year’s theme is mental health at work. Your job can be a source of mental health issues, but a safe environment can also help protect you from developing such issues. It is important that people who struggle get proper support and that employers help to improve mental health at work. There are loads of things that can and should be done. But one thing, perhaps simple and often underestimated, is to see people. In a busy workday, I believe that one of the most important things we all can do is to see the people around us. Paying attention to colleagues, caring about them, and showing interest in their lives and their well-being means a lot. Everyone who has visited Equinor’s headquarters in Stavanger, has met Monika Andersen. She works in the reception and greets every single person with a big smile and a heartfelt “hello”. She always looks you in the eyes and knows everyone’s names. Monika sees people. And even if her meetings with colleagues and our guests are brief and on-the-go, I believe they matter. Let us all be a little bit more like Monika. #worldmentalhealthday

Hywind Scotland, the world’s first floating wind farm, has been in operation since 2017, and produces enough energy to meet the needs of around 35,000 UK households 🇬🇧 Together with our partner Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company), we’ve now successfully completed maintenance on all five turbines at Wergeland Base in Gulen, Norway 🇳🇴 The scheduled maintenance campaign provided valuable insights that will help us refine maintenance practices and optimise technology for the future.   By sharing our learnings, we aim to contribute to the growth and development of the floating wind industry💨    In addition to Hywind Scotland, we also operate the world’s largest floating offshore wind farm – Hywind Tampen. The world’s first cross-border CO2 transport and storage facility – Northern Lights – is completed and ready to receive and store CO2, and was officially opened today by Norwegian energy minister Terje Aasland in Øygarden, near Bergen ✨ This marks an important milestone for the global development of a carbon capture, transport and storage (CCS) business model 🚀 It opens a value chain for the decarbonisation of European industry and energy and shows the role that we and our partners are taking in developing low carbon solutions in the energy transition 🇪🇺 Large scale CCS will play a key role in the energy transition and in reaching Paris Agreement goals, as it offers a solution for large and hard-to-abate industrial emitters (including the cement and fertiliser industries) that need to decarbonise their processes 🏭 We have around 10 CCS projects in operation or under development globally, and already have nearly 30 years of safe CO2 storage experience on the Norwegian continental shelf 🌐 🇳🇴 The established Northern Lights value chain and experience from the project will also be valuable in maturing and scaling up future CCS projects. The Northern Lights facility (Northern Lights JV) is a joint venture between Equinor, Shell and TotalEnergies. Find out more 👉https://bit.ly/3Bt3UN7
