A special visit 🌟 Amanda Bardwell, our incoming Woolworths Group CEO, visited New Zealand and spent some time with our franchise business, seeing first hand how our local owner-operated stores are made to suit their unique communities. Amanda met Shane and Marcella Howarth, owners of FreshChoice Mangere Bridge, who are passionate about providing exceptional service to their community. 🛒 🏆 FreshChoice Mangere Bridge was awarded the Customer Service Award at this year's FreshChoice Awards Ceremony, which highlights how Shane and Marcella go above and beyond to cater to their community needs, particularly with the older generation. They ensure every single customer who walks through their doors feels supported and valued. The Mangere Bridge store, which originally opened as SuperValue in the 1970s and later transformed into FreshChoice in 1998, has consistently demonstrated the ability to adapt to the changing needs of their customers, showing up differently ever since. Amanda's visit provided valuable insights into how our local franchisees leverage their deep understanding of their communities to create tailored shopping experiences. A proud moment! We are thrilled to announce FreshChoice has won three Cannes Lions Awards! Held annually in Cannes, France, the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, celebrates creativity, effectiveness and innovation in the global advertising, marketing and communication industries. We received a Silver Cannes Lions Award 🥈 in the Live Advertisement and Events category, a Bronze Cannes Lions Award 🥉in Live Brand Experience or Activation category and a second Bronze 🥉 in Large-Scale Media category - all for doing things differently, and bringing surprise and delight to running Kiwis with our FreshChoice Aid Aisle at the Kepler Challenge at Te Anau last December. Our Aid Aisle, built specially to fit the Kepler Track and positioned 51km into the race, was a live demonstration of FreshChoice's commitment to Supporting and Shopping Different. 🌟 A big shout out to our talented team Travis Tompsett, Jarryd Adams , Charlotte H., and the Activation & Creative teams at dentsu Aotearoa for their involvement and hard work in bringing this to life.
