We are pleased to share another successful collaboration with students and the team at Department of Economics and Finance, University of Canterbury. Aya Nakayama, Hayden Joyce, and Siying Qian presented a comprehensive consultancy report on our Moccona Café Style Mixes to Nick Cowper & Alannah Kelly-Curtin, with some outstanding recommendations. Special thanks to Tom Coupé and Laura Meriluoto for the continued partnership between UC Business School and JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS NZ.
Yesterday, Aya Nakayama, Hayden Joyce and Siying Qian, an exchange student from Shanghai Business School, presented their consultancy report to Alannah Kelly-Curtin and Nick Cowper of JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS NZ. The team of University of Canterbury students analysed sales data of Moccona’s coffee style mixes, using regression analysis, and built on the marketing literature and market research to come up with recommendations on how Moccona can increase its market share while keeping a premium pricing strategy. The team was supervised by Professor Tom Coupé, pictured on the left. The project was done as a part of our Internship or Consultancy Project course that is available to our 3rd year undergraduate students (ECON/FINC390) and our graduate students (ECON/FINC679). The course demonstrates our commitment to offering students access to work-integrated learning. Thank you, Alannah and Nick, for working with us once again, and we look forward to the next project! If you would like to partner with us to get students working on your project, please get in touch with Laura Meriluoto. UC Business School
