Opportunities for employment and support at work can drive empowerment and recovery for people with mental health conditions. This is why NCSS has brought together the Beyond the Label Collective Workplace Workgroup to promote inclusivity at the workplace, encourage organisations to address mental health stigma, and champion mental well-being. Whether you are an organisational leader, human resource practitioner or teammate, every role matters in creating an inclusive workplace for persons with mental health conditions. To know how you can join this movement, catch this film - inspired by true stories - about how the support of her organisation, supervisor, and peers helped an employee with mental health conditions to thrive. • At Care Corner, our work is more than just a job—it's 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬.  Our staff appreciation lunch today was a great reminder for us to recharge and celebrate the dedication and passion that each team member brings to our mission. Because caring for ourselves means we can continue to care deeply for others. 💖 We rocked the theme, Moving Through Time, in our retro and futuristic styles! We were brought back in time to remember our humble beginnings and also took a glimpse at what Care Corner's future can look like 🎉  Thank you to our Staff Wellbeing Committee for planning this day for us to get together!  Let’s continue to play hard, laugh together, and take a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come... and the future we’re building together! ❤️ #CareCornerSG #CareToEveryCorner #Staff #Nonprofit

  • To celebrate International Day of Older Persons this year, we elevated our regular Mindful Steps programme with two special sessions on 7 & 11 October, bringing together 73 seniors and 20 volunteers! Truly energised by their smiles and laughters! 🚶♀️💪 🧡 Fun fact: Just 45 minutes of walking (around 3,800 steps) daily can reduce the risk of dementia by 25%. Happy to see our walking programme grow since its launch last year, allowing us to expand our efforts to support seniors in their journey to age well – both mentally and physically. A huge shoutout to volunteers from Kellanova for befriending our seniors and ensuring their safety! And also for generously sponsoring 100 bottles of snacks for them! Walking alone can be intimidating for seniors due to the fear of falling or getting injured, yet it’s a fantastic way to stay active. So we’re grateful when partners join our seniors – providing companioning and an extra set of eyes to look out for their safety! If you or your organisation would like to volunteer for our Mindful Steps, email us at volunteer@carecorner.org.sg! If you would like to join us on our regular Mindful Steps walk, call us at 6258 6601! #CareCornerSG #CareToEveryCorner #InternationalDayOfOlderPersons

  • 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗻 𝘂𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻!   Last Friday, we celebrated and appreciated our dedicated supporters and partners at Care Corner Uplift For Life Gala Dinner 2024! 🌟  Graced by our Patron, Minister Chan Chun Sing, the evening saw us recognising 17 of our partners for their generous contributions and unwavering support over the past year. We also witnessed the inking of multi-year partnerships with STMicroelectronics, UOL Group Limited, and Vallianz Holdings, as well as cheque presentations from Singapore Chinese Girls’ School and UOB. We are deeply grateful for the generous support of our partners: CROCODILE FOUNDATION LTD., Jesus The Light – A Gifting Ministry of Far East Organization, Leap201, Lien Foundation, OCBC, Octava Foundation , PropNex Realty Pte Ltd, Quantedge Foundation, SP Group, StarHub, UBS Optimus Foundation and Marina Bay Sands. All their support is crucial to the sustainability of our programmes, allowing us to continue uplifting lives together.  The night was made even more special with stunning sand art performances, sharing the stories of our beneficiaries, and a heartwarming performance by children from our Care Corner Student Care Centres—ending with their touching rendition of You Raise Me Up. 🎶✨. As Minister Chan Chun Sing shared, “Our measure of success is not how many people we help today, but how many people we don’t need to help tomorrow...and hoping that they in turn can help others.” The Uplift for Life campaign and Care Corner's work is a testament to this vision, where together with our partners, we are building a brighter, more resilient future for our community. A huge thank you to all our partners and everyone who made this night so special! 🙌💖 #CareCornerSG #CareToEveryCorner #UpliftForLife2024 #GalaDinner

  • Care Corner Circle of Care Consultancy Services (CoCCS) was privileged to join Presbyterian Preschool Services as co-organisers for this year’s Good Start Conference on 27 Sep. Bringing together 1,100 participants from various sectors, the conference harnessed the power of collaboration to create a community of practice that equips, supports and advances inclusion in preschools.  We were thrilled to speak at a breakout session, “It takes a child to raise a village: Building child-centric collaborations in the ‘village’ around the child”. As a huge part of our belief in strengthening ecosystems around children, participants heard from Joan Foo and Jean Koh about working in interdisciplinary teams within the early childhood space. CoCCS was also delighted to conduct a team-building workshop for a group of educators from Bethesda Katong Kindergarten. We had lots of fun and meaningful learning through a life-sized executive function-based board game!  CoCCS’ new programme introducing executive functions through team building workshops is now ready for educators and social service teams!   👉 Contact us at coc.consultancy@carecorner.org.sg to find out more.
