At Fei Yue, we’re committed to supporting youth who feel disconnected or face challenges in traditional educational and employment paths. Our Animal Care programme, generously supported by the CapitaLand Hope Foundation, is making a real difference for these young individuals. Through collaborations with partners like the 'Horse-ibilities' programme with Equal, youth have the opportunity to engage in meaningful interactions with animals, build confidence, learn empathy, and develop essential life skills in a safe, supportive environment. Since 2020, more than 220 youth have participated in the programme, finding not only new ways to connect with animals but also with themselves and those around them. Read the article to learn how youth like Angel and Emmanuel have gained the confidence to pursue their dreams—whether that’s returning to school, joining the workforce, or simply finding their voice again. #EmpoweringYouth #FeiYue #FeiYueCommunityServices #AnimalCare #MentalHealthSupport #SocialEmotionalLearning #YouthEmpowerment

We're delighted to share a heartwarming event that took place on Friday morning at Fei Yue Active Aging Centre (Sunshine Court). Our seniors were treated to an extraordinary birthday celebration that brought smiles, laughter, and a sense of community to all involved. In a first-time partnership between Fei Yue and McDonald's, staff members from various McDonald's outlets came together to host a Community Birthday Party for 24 of our seniors whose birthday falls in the month of October. The seniors were engaged in fun, age-appropriate games that encouraged participation and laughter. What's parties without songs? The air was filled with melodious tunes as everyone joined in singing old favorites, including the beloved "Tian Mi Mi", and danced to "YMCA". With party hats donned and spirits high, the October birthday celebrants were the stars of the show. Everyone enjoyed a delicious McChicken meal and received a special gift, adding to the excitement of the day. The meal ended on a sweet note with chocolate cakes and birthday gifts to celebrate the October babies. The success of this event was evident in the radiant smiles and enthusiastic feedback from our seniors. Many were already inquiring about the next event, showcasing the positive impact of such community-driven initiatives. Special thanks to the McDonald's staff who volunteered their time and energy to engage with our seniors and this partnership between Fei Yue and McDonald's marks the beginning of what we hope will be a long-standing collaboration. We're excited about the potential for future events that will continue to bring joy and engagement to our community. #FeiYue #FeiYueCommunityServices #ActiveAgeing #CommunityEngagement #EmpoweringSeniors #BuildingCommunity

Tuesday was a fun-filled day for close to 1,000 of our seniors from six Fei Yue Active Ageing Centres, including Hougang Dewcourt, Hougang, Serangoon, Buangkok, Sunshine Court, and Limbang Green, as well as three other charity partners. These seniors were treated to a full-day carnival at Kallang Wave Mall, filled with fun activities, companionship, and joy. We are grateful to CapitaLand Hope Foundation for organising this carnival and pulling together more than 600 CapitaLand staff as volunteers, each paired with a senior for the day. The carnival wasn't just about fun—it was a wonderful opportunity for our seniors to feel connected, supported, and celebrated. The smiles, laughter, and warm interactions between our seniors and the volunteers truly reflected the power of community spirit. We are grateful to CapitaLand and all the volunteers for making this event possible, and for helping us create such meaningful experiences for our seniors. Events like these remind us of the importance of inclusion and the positive impact we can have on one another’s lives. A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in making this day unforgettable! #FeiYue #FeiYueCommunityServices #ActiveAgeing #CommunitySupport #EmpoweringSeniors #BuildingCommunity

Our Fei Yue Animal-Care Programme youths had the rare opportunity to meet with miniature horses, Summer and Ginger, from EQUAL, in mid September 2024! This is part of the pre-programme session leading up to a series of four 2.5 hours sessions with the EQUAL Youth Programme, "Horse-ibilities". We are grateful and excited for this collaboration the Fei Yue Animal-Care Team has with EQUAL under their Equine-Assisted Learning Programme. Topics such as social and self awareness and self-management, will be explored, for youths to get to know themselves better through interactions with the horses. "Horse-ibilities' is one of several programmes under the Fei Yue Animal-Care Team. The team collaborates with other animal-related industry partners to design, run and evaluate Animal Assisted Services for youths with the aim to (i) increase the youths' knowledge of animal care and learn more about the skills required (ii) to enable youths' to gain a better understanding of one's socio-emotional coping (iii) for youths to gain exposure to the Animal-Care industry. We wish the youths attending "Horse-ibilities" all the best in their journey of self-exploration in October 2024 and we extend our heartfelt appreciation to Equal for this collaboration and belief in our youths! #FeiYue #FeiYueCommunityServices #AnimalCare #YouthDevelopment #AssistedLearning

We're thrilled to share the excitement from last Saturday's Charity Futsal event, graciously hosted by SGX Group. Our talented young athletes from Fei Yue Family Service Centres at Bukit Batok and Yew Tee seized this opportunity to showcase their skills and team spirit under the bright morning sun. Decked out in vibrant red and yellow jerseys, our two teams stood proud, ready to put their intensive training to the test. Our young players went through three rigorous 2-hour coaching sessions leading up to this day and we're so proud of them for clinching the bronze medal for Team Fei Yue! Congratulations on a game well played! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to SGX once again for their unwavering support of our community initiatives. This partnership means the world to us, and we're eager to continue our collaboration on more impactful projects in the future. #FeiYue #FeiYueCommunityServices #FeiYueFamilyServiceCentre #SGXCares #CharityFutsal

On Wednesday, the Youth Outreach Conference kicked off with a bang at the NUS Shaw Foundation Alumni House. Gracing the event was Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Social and Family Development whose inspiring speech set the tone for the conference. Also present were friends of the media and many other industry players such as educators and social work practitioners who work with youths at risk. The conference makes its debut this year with masterclasses and panel discussions helmed by local and international industry experts such as Prof Wing Lo, Prof Yan Ruth Xia, Prof Paul Wong, Mr Keswick Chuk and many more. It aims to highlight and address the challenges faced by NEET (not in education, employment or training) youths in our society and the support we have for them. We'll hear perspectives from the professionals in the fields, caregivers of NEET youths, funders who support this piece of work, and the NEET youths themselves. Today marks the final day of this conference and we want to thank everyone who made this conference possible in one way or another. The adage “it takes a village to raise a child” still stays true. With everyone chipping in to look out for our youths, we can then create ripples of positivity to inspire transformation.

As part of Rajah & Tann Asia’s (RTA) 10th anniversary celebrations this year, Rajah & Tann Foundation presented a S$100,000 donation to Fei Yue Community Services, a social service organisation dedicated to supporting families and individuals of all ages. During the celebratory dinner on 29 August 2024, we were privileged to have Fei Yue’s Chief Executive Arthur Ling, and co-founder and Senior Consultant Leng Chin Fai, receive this gift from Patrick Ang, Managing Partner of Rajah & Tann Singapore, and Rebecca Chew Ming Hsien, Chairperson of the Rajah & Tann Foundation. This monetary support will go towards Fei Yue’s ongoing initiatives, including the Early Intervention Programme for Infants and Children (EIPIC) and Active Ageing Centres (AAC). Last night, we had the honour of attending Rajah & Tann Asia's 10th anniversary celebration, an event made even more special with the presence of Guest of Honour, Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat. Fei Yue is immensely grateful to be the only social service agency that Rajah & Tann Asia has chosen to partner with on this remarkable milestone. Their generous commitment of $100,000 to Fei Yue will go a long way in supporting our vital work with children with special needs and seniors. This contribution will enable us to enhance our programmes and services, ensuring that these vulnerable members of our community receive the care, support, and opportunities they deserve. We extend our deepest gratitude to Rajah & Tann Asia for their trust in us and their continued dedication to making a meaningful difference in our society. It is through partnerships like these that we can continue to build a more inclusive and compassionate community. Thank you for standing with us as we work towards transforming the lives of those we serve. #FeiYueCommunityServices #FeiYue #CommunitySupport #SocialImpact #PartnershipsForGood #ChildrenWithSpecialNeeds #SeniorCare
