Thank you to the wise & wonderful community that joined our event in London last week, and the many others we connected with over the course of World Agri-Tech & Future Food-Tech in London. 🇬🇧 We co-hosted an afterhours event together with our friends at FoodLabs & The Mills Fabrica. As the saying goes, food people are good people. It was a fantastic time spent with our community of investors, founders, and corporates, all committed to advancing climate-resilient, sustainable practices across the food supply chain. 🌱 Always a pleasure to host in one of our two home bases, and catchup with friends old and new. Huge thank you to our exceptional co-conspirators, Valeria Do, Darius Zarrabian and Till Hoelzer from FoodLabs, and Jennifer Parratt Lewis, and the team at The Mills Fabrica for making this happen - see you soon & stay tuned for our upcoming plans at Asia-Pacific Agri-Food Innovation Summit! #FoodTech #AgTech #FutureOfFood #London

“Over the past 30 years, the global aquaculture industry has expanded more than fivefold. However, the supply of fish oil, the primary source of omega-3s for farmed fish, has remained stagnant at around one million tons per year. This is derived from harvesting 20 million tons of wild-caught fish annually, a practice that is both unsustainable and harmful to marine ecosystems. As a result, omega-3 levels in farmed salmon have plummeted to the bare minimum required for their health. The industry urgently needs to find alternative sources.” MiAlgae is answering the call of sustainable fisheries & feed producers globally with a commercially viable, non-marine sourced omega-3 product that increased both animal and end-user health. We are excited to support their growth in Europe and beyond. We're pleased to be investing alongside SWEN Capital Partners Blue Ocean Fund, Rabobank and existing investors Equity Gap, Scottish Enterprise, Social Investment Scotland, Old College Capital, Ananke & Ascension. Congratulations to Douglas Martin and the entire MiAlgae team! 🌊 https://lnkd.in/dMDyVp7h

Abolis Biotechnologies celebrates its 10th anniversary with a €35 million raise, a significant milestone given that over 70% of startups don’t make it this far. In those 10 years, they've assembled a talented team, delivered strong strategic and financial performance, and built an impressive client base - all while bootstrapping with just over €1 million ! A remarkable feat considering that the SynBio sector has raised over US$35 billion in the past three years alone according to SynBioBeta. Abolis is driving industries toward more sustainable, biobased ingredients, and we are excited to support their growth in Europe and especially in Asia through Singapore. We're pleased to be investing alongside BOLD (L'Oréal's venture fund), Evonik Venture Capital, DTCF | DeepTech & Climate Fonds, Icos Capital, and LIBERSET. Congratulations to Cyrille Pauthenier and the entire Abolis team ! https://lnkd.in/gByvUeUT
