Imagine this: It’s 3pm and you’re starving. You used your lunch break to bring your parents to their weekly medical appointment. For many of us, this is a scenario that doesn’t need imagination. It’s a reality. It can be physically and emotionally exhausting to be a caregiver. That’s why we’re partnering with Hush TeaBar to conduct wellbeing tea experiences that give us time to reflect upon our experiences and emotions. Thank you to The Business Times for shedding light on the launch event that focuses on caregivers and the support they need. See its symptoms and treatments here: https://lnkd.in/gAHUtVgC Despite having one of the highest OCD rates globally, our understanding of this mental health condition is sorely limited—thanks in part to the media's microscopic portrayal and casual use of the term. Contrary to popular belief, the fear of cleanliness is just one of many themes, and the preoccupation with symmetry and orderliness can be debilitating for some individuals. So, when does a preference turn into an obsession? And how’s an obsession different from a compulsion? Read the article to find out.

There is a fine line between resilience and toxic positivity. Here’s how to avoid the latter: https://lnkd.in/gWQ6A-sj Nobody wants to be labeled a Negative Nancy or Debbie Downer at work. So, we suppress our emotions to appear professional, only to feel drained by the end of the day. However, as we learned from Inside Out, every emotion has a role to play, including the misunderstood ones like fear and anxiety. Insisting on “good vibes only” deprives us of opportunities for personal growth. If this resonates with you, don’t worry. We have three strategies for escaping the toxic positivity trap in the article.

You can’t pour from an empty cup 🍵 That’s the message we wanted to drive home during our HUSH TeaBar x Intellect Event: Self-Care for Caregivers. From a HUSH TeaBar experiential session to a self-care workshop, our participants took time to slow down and reflect on the state of their mental health. It’s not easy being a caregiver and it’s so important for them to have a safe space to recharge. 💗 For those who joined us, thank you for taking the time to prioritise yourself! ☺️ Lastly, a huge shoutout to the HUSH TeaBar team, Anthea Indira Ong and Alicia Yoon, our Client Solutions & Consulting Lead, for this wonderful event. Your employee wellbeing programme utilisation is at an all-time low. You've rolled out a pulse survey and still can’t figure out why 😖 After surveying close to 600 HR professionals in ASEAN, we found the same conundrum: Employee engagement is the lowest in the region, despite a strong push from HR departments 📊 📈 Singapore’s HR teams are the 3rd most active in promoting employee wellbeing, with 94% actively communicating mental health programmes, including EAP, to employees. 📉 Yet, employee engagement stands at a mere 18%, the lowest in the region❗ This stark contrast suggests that despite the availability of services, programmes, and events, participation and utilisation remain dismal. How can we bridge this gap? Discover more insights and learn how to address these challenges in our latest report 💡 https://lnkd.in/gTsE3p6g
