Under this agreement with Jurong Port, SLNG - Singapore LNG Corporation Pte Ltd will develop the Second LNG Terminal, where the new Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) will be berthed for the duration of its service. Onshore infrastructure will connect the FSRU to both onshore pipelines and the Singapore gas network. “Jurong Port has been playing a key role in supporting Singapore’s growth over the years, and we are happy to also play a part in Singapore’s energy security. Our waterfront infrastructure and proximity to the existing gas network will be helpful to support the operation of the Second LNG Terminal,” said our CEO, Mr. Terence Seow. On 18 September, we held our 4th Social Wednesday with a focus on heat stress management. The event kicked off with The Foody Truck rolling into the port, serving burgers, drinks and ice creams. It gave colleagues a chance to enjoy lunch while catching up with one another. Our Staff Welfare Council (SWC) used this opportunity to promote an important message on heat stress management by distributing goodie bags with cooling wet wipes and towels. Each bag also included an infographic on recognising and preventing heat stroke, helping our staff stay safe as temperatures rise. Later in the day, SWC members also made their way around the port, handing out more goodie bags and ice-cold cans of 100 Plus to port users working outdoors. It was a timely reminder to stay hydrated and cool on the job. At Jurong Port, we value our #people. Initiatives like our Social Wednesdays not only provide a break but also ensure we look out for one another's #wellbeing.

People often assume that #security is just about 'keeping on guard,' but the reality is far different. As an Assistant Manager in Jurong Port's Security Department (JPSD), I've witnessed firsthand how time and technology have transformed our roles. Today, we're not just guards; we're a dynamic, agile team prepared to take on security challenges to keep the port safe and secure. One of the key aspects of my job is preparing for real-life security challenges. At JPSD, we hold quarterly drills and exercises to sharpen our readiness. This is important as the landscape of physical security threats evolves, so do the challenges we face. We stay ahead by continually updating our security technology, remaining adaptable and embracing new methods to enhance overall security. For me, this role is not just a job; it's a calling. The nature of the work keeps me on my toes, with no two days being the same. The excitement and adrenaline keep me going – and here, teamwork truly makes the dream work! We always strive for improvement and continue to keep our port secure for all of us. - Suresh S/O Mariappan, Assistant Manager of Security

Tee Yang, Assistant Vice President of Transformation & Safety, shared, “Ensuring our staff and port users are trained and prepared for emergencies is a top priority. This training empowers our employees with the necessary skills to respond to potential emergencies, in the port and beyond, ensuring that they can act decisively in critical situations.”

JP joined Building and Construction Authority to receive the Minister's Award (Winning Project) at the Ministry of National Development Singapore National Day Observance Ceremony (NDOC) from Minister Desmond Lee. This recognition highlights the remarkable efforts by both teams to revolutionise the construction supply chain and optimise land use in Singapore. Vice President of Bulk Cargo, Siva kumar received the award on behalf of Jurong Port.    BCA is developing Integrated Construction Parks (ICPs) that bring together synergistic supply chain activities. Jurong Port RMC Ecosystem will be Singapore's first ICP, integrating various components of the construction supply chain, including RMC batching plants and an aggregates terminal.   Key features of JP's RMC Ecosystem include an enclosed conveying system from wharf to customers' aggregate and RMC plots, that eliminates truck trips leading to an efficient, sustainable and enhanced supply chain. Land usage is intensified as JP provides co-shared services such as trucks wash and parking services. Together with our existing Cement Terminal, all key nodes for concrete production are now brought together within the Port.    We are proud to be given this opportunity to work with BCA and received the Minister's Award.
