  • From 13–17 January 2025, Singapore Cancer Society held our Lunar New Year Distribution, spreading warmth, joy, and hope to our brave cancer warriors, their families, and even a curious furry friend. 🐾🍊   These inspiring individuals face incredible challenges — from battling cancer to coping with financial hardships brought on by treatment costs and job loss. Every goodie bag and ang bao shared was a reminder that they are not alone in their journey. Your contributions enable us to provide essential support and relief, helping them focus on what matters most: their recovery and their loved ones. 💜   To all our donors, supporters, and volunteers — thank you. 💖 Your generosity makes moments like these possible. You are the reason these warriors feel hope and encouragement, knowing they have a community rallying behind them.   If you’d like to continue supporting our cancer warriors and bring hope to more families, visit https://lnkd.in/giBZqsbh to make a difference today. Together, we can give the gift of love and strength this Lunar New Year. 🧧✨

  • Congratulations to Ellil Mathiyan Lakshmanan, one of our cancer warriors who regularly gives back to the community, for receiving the People of Good (Senior) Award at the annual President's Volunteerism & Philanthropy Awards (PVPA) 2024! 👏 As a survivor of two types of cancer, Ellil has dedicated his time to various cancer support groups, notably serving as the chairman of the SCS SemiColon Support group and founding the Ostomy Association of Singapore. He is also an active member in the Singapore Cancer Society – TalkMed Relay For Life committee, leading efforts to rally fellow members in the cancer community in celebrating their cancer journeys, remembering those lost, and fighting back against the leading cause of death in Singapore. 💪 Ellil’s story exemplifies unwavering resilience and commitment to supporting others on their journeys to triumph over health adversities 🪻 We thank him for his continued service to our cause.
