Are you a dreamer or a doer? Per Emilio Tenuta SVP and chief sustainability officer at Ecolab, the world needs both types of people in order to address climate change. According to Tenuta: 💭 Dreamers = "The ones that are understanding the innovation and what it's going to take to really embed sustainability in everything we do in our life." ✅ Doers = "The ones that are rolling up their sleeves and implementing pragmatic solutions to the challenges that we see today, not five years from now." "In many ways, the world needs dreamers that are also doers." ❓ Which one are you? Share your thoughts below. #linkedinvideo #character #personality

Structure is not the same as routine, says Grace Yeoh, correspondent at CNA. “Structure is an overall framework that provides guidelines, but allows for variation…Routine is the repeated, habitual execution of tasks within that structure,” writes Yeoh. Knowing the difference will enable you to organise your day more effectively, she adds. How do you structure your day? #IOTD #organisation #focus
A kind reader emailed me after reading this article last week to thank me for the hacks ... and very, very implicitly suggested I might have ADHD. REALLY. What gave THAT away? (Not-so-fun fact: After I was diagnosed, a former interviewee told me she was surprised I hadn't known all along. It was obvious to her 💀) But yes, I intentionally stopped short of mentioning ADHD in this piece because the hacks here don't just work for my kind of brain. They help with the occasional executive function deficit too. No "eat the frog", Pomodoro, time-blocking standard advice, I promise. I also don't want anyone to think that just because these hacks work for you, it means you have ADHD. And likewise, if these don't work for your ADHD, it doesn't mean you are suddenly cured. I freaking wish, dude. (Can't believe I need to state these caveats but such is the level of intelligence in 2025.) Mostly I wrote this article to save myself from typing a long message whenever someone asks me for hacks. I will just direct you to this link. Aaaand a bonus tip for LinkedIn: Structure is not the same as routine. Structure is an overall framework that provides guidelines, but allows for variation. Eg, you are expected to work from 9am to 1pm before lunch, but what you do within that time is up to you. Routine is the repeated, habitual execution of tasks within that structure. It's more specific, rigid, and focused on consistency. Eg, clearing emails first thing in the morning, meeting at a specific time daily to share the same type of updates. I fall apart without structure. Cannot function. But I am quite averse to what I perceive to be unnecessary routine (i.e. most of it in corporate life). I need novelty in each task - such as a different topic - even if the skill set required is the same. Knowing the difference will let you organise your day more effectively and efficiently. Look for the right job and company. Plan your career trajectory productively. Spend less time beating yourself up when something clearly doesn't work. And most crucially, it will help you help people help you.

🟢 How sustainable is the overall experience? 🟢 On a recent flight, I noticed a food packaging labeled: "Designed for a Cause Delicious • Sustainable" Yet, the rest of the meal came in: Bread … plastic wrap 🤔 Milk … plastic sachet 🤔 Water … plastic bottle 🤔 Wet wipe … plastic wrap 🤔 Butter … plastic pack 🤔 It made me reflect—are we truly embracing sustainability, or is it just labelling it? A holistic approach considers every detail, from packaging to the partners you worked with and waste management.......
