Today marks one year since the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Catherine (Kat) Finnegan. Kat was a cherished member of the 1508 London team. Her family have shared that there will be a one-minute silence held in her memory at Victoria Station at 11:00 AM today. For those who knew Kat, this is an opportunity to pause and reflect on the impact she had on so many lives. Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
It is with the deepest sorrow that 15o8 London announce the death of our colleague and friend Catherine Finnegan (Kat), who passed away on the 29th of January. Kat was a valued member of the 15o8 London team. Having been with the company for 8 years serving as the Executive Assistant to our Chairman, Kat played an integral role in our company and was loved by many. During her time with us, Kat not only excelled in her job but also fostered a positive and inclusive work environment. She will be remembered for her kindness and sense of humour that touched the lives of everyone she encountered. In this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with Kat’s family and loved ones. Kat, you will be missed.

First opened in 1996, this grand dame of South African hospitality has emerged from an extensive renovation by design studio 1508 London, marking the most ambitious transformation in its storied history. The red-brick edifice, though modest in exterior, now houses an interior that blends contemporary sophistication with the property’s rich heritage”. NEW PROJECT - We are thrilled to unveil our involvement in the Mr. C Residences Downtown, an extraordinary new luxury development by Alta Real Estate Development in collaboration with the iconic Cipriani family. Alta Real Estate Development has officially launched Mr. C Residences Downtown, an exclusive luxury residential project marking the second Mr. C property in Dubai. Designed by renowned architectural firm Arquitectonica with interiors by London-based design studio 1508 London, Mr. C Residences Downtown features an exterior that harmoniously blends with Dubai’s bold skyline. Spanning three levels, the development offers residents an extensive array of amenities tailored such as a private cinema and golf simulator room, a fully equipped fitness centre, yoga and Pilates studios, and Peloton spaces, a signature spa with steam and sauna rooms, oxygen therapy rooms, and a children’s playroom, a library and an event lounge perched on the 57th floor. NEW PROJECT - We are thrilled to unveil our involvement in the refurbishment of the Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita. Our Dubai studio was entrusted with leading the largest refurbishment of the hotel since its opening 16 years ago. The extensive project included the complete redesign of the Spa, as well as the guest rooms and suites, ranging from 2-, 3-, and 5-bedroom villas to the luxurious Presidential Suite. “The renovation of Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita has been a deeply rewarding journey for our Dubai studio,” comments Hamish Brown, Partner at 1508 London. “We approached the project with a commitment to celebrating the location and culture of Mauritius, while delivering the luxury experience that guests expect from the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts brand. Every detail of the design has been carefully crafted to create a sophisticated and immersive retreat that balances the natural beauty of the surroundings with refined elegance. In Pictures: REDD launches 'world-class' luxury resi scheme in Mayfair Following some early success off-market, developer REDD has officially debuted its latest luxury resi endeavour in Mayfair. The firm’s reinvention of a grand townhouse at 6 Charles Street surpassed the £5,000 per square foot threshold earlier this year, when one of the apartments sold – shell and core – for £9mn. Interiors are being created by 1508 London and will team Georgian period cornices and herringbone timber flooring with statement stone portals, bespoke joinery and natural marble.
