When Boston Energy reached out to ARMSA Academy in #Paris in early 2024, we had little idea how seriously it took #skills development and #workforce planning. Since 2012, Boston Energy hasn't only invested £3.2m in technician development, spent 2.2m hours supporting their customers across 100+ global projects - this week, it invested in developing the senior team too! Recently the executive team rallied around a table to explore: ⚡️Roles and responsibilities in complex renewable project structures ⚡️Integrating systems of management and processes ⚡️Managing international teams ⚡️Strategies for safe outcomes and optimal organisational structures ⚡️Frameworks for assessing operational design in high-risk tasks ⚡️Tender specifications and resource/work design ⚡️Leveraging safety as a competitive advantage ✅ Expectations like these are right down ARMSA Academy’s street. Using #IOSH's Safety for Executives and Director's programme https://lnkd.in/duD-rQP as a basis, decision-makers rolled up their sleeves and got stuck right in... ..and we are delighted with the feedback.🤗 'The day has given me further knowledge and confidence around our complete H&S Business Strategy' 'It clarified a number of unknowns around legislation and also key skills and principles to put into play in real life situations' '[The delivery was] incredibly industry specific' Thank you team Boston Energy! 🙏🏼 Smiles at the end of a tough 8-hour session were impressive. Wishing you every success at WindEurope 2024 -Hamburg and beyond. Over the years, Rakesh Maharaj has had the pleasure of working in Brazil 🇧🇷, a country that captured his heart. Even when investigating accidents in the most difficult of circumstances, Rakesh has always been made to feel very welcome. With a warm, friendly, and curious spirit, the Brazilian people celebrated political independence over a century ago in 1922. As the country marked Independence Day last week, we would also like to celebrate Brazil’s remarkable progress toward energy independence. ☀️🌱 Brazil shines as a global leader in renewable energy. In 2023, with an impressive 194 GW of installed capacity, it proudly ranked third in the world, just behind China 🇨🇳 and the United States 🇺🇸. Leading the charge is Norte Energia a powerhouse consortium featuring Eletronorte NEONERGIA CEMIG JMalucelli Vale and SINOBRAS They came together to create the massive 11.2 GW Belo Monte hydropower plant in Pará, testament to Brazil's commitment to sustainable future. We’d like to extend our warmest wishes to our Brazilian clients, colleagues, and friends. Here’s to a future where Brazil enjoys both political and energy independence! #energytransition #brazil #independenceday #energyindependence

Friday already? What a week for UK solar! This morning we woke up to read that Britain experienced its greenest summer ever. According to The Guardian reliance on fossil fuels fell to less than 1/5 of the country’s electricity in August. 🎉 This news is on top of this week’s Round 6 CfD results that secured a record 3.3GW of solar capacity, boosting the UK’s current solar output by 20%! The milestone strengthens our confidence in the government’s goal to triple solar capacity to 50GW by 2030 🌍 and we can’t wait to see these projects come to life. Huge congratulations to all the Round 6 solar winners including: ☀️Sonnedix MONTREATHMONT FARMS Lightsource bp ENSO GREENPOWER TAMWORTH SOLAR FARM LTD SOUTH PARK FARMING JBM Solar SOUTH CARLTON SOLAR FARM LIMITED NextPower BEDWORTH SOLAR FARM LTD PARK HILL SOLAR LIMITED greentech UK Luminous Energy Group Ltd CHILTERN RENEWABLE ENERGY LIMITED BURTON ELECTRICAL & RENEWABLES LIMITED Vattenfall #solarenergy #cfds #solarpower #roundsix https://lnkd.in/edYuDfFR

ARMSA is 25 years old! 🎉🥳🎂🎈Not many people know but following the privatisation of the UK energy generation industry in the mid 1990’s, Alan Robinson started ARMSA Ltd to support the transition. We’re not sure that he would have ever predicted that ARMSA would be a leading decision-making organisation in the global renewables sector! On our 25-year journey, we worked with coal, gas, and nuclear new builds until, under the inspiring vision and leadership of Rakesh Maharaj , ARMSA Academy fully transitioned into renewables in 2015. Since then, Khalida Suleymanova has authored and delivered market-leading programmes across the globe and spear-headed game-changing research (more on this to follow soon). It’s no wonder that she was voted as “Woman of the Year 2024” at the Safety and Health Excellence Awards🏆 Jimmy Hansson and Rakesh Maharaj gently steer our Board with wise counsel while James Akrigg, Tom Lapperger, Andrew Berezhnoy, MSc BSc and Helle Jakobsen are the power team that launched h-alt.io® - disruptive tech that is allowing offshore wind to scale smartly and safely. All of our exciting endeavours around the world are avidly marketed and supported by Emma Jarmaine, Mark Easter and Sian Willett 🌍 We’re immensely proud of our achievements but none of this would have been possible without our amazing clients and partners. You wonderful people are too many to thank individually, but whilst we enjoy celebrating our “silver” birthday, please know we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. 🙏🏼 The ARMSA team 🥳🎂🎈🎉 #armsais25 #armsabirthday #anniversary #thankyou

It's 30th August today and everyone at ARMSA Academy is celebrating the number 3️⃣0️⃣ today because the UK will hit 3️⃣0️⃣GW of wind development on or around 3️⃣0️⃣ August. 👍🏼 To put this in practical terms, 30GW of wind can power over 26 million homes 🏡 There are nearly 30 million homes in the UK so this achievement demonstrates that we are certainly moving towards a low carbon economy. In fact, last year, a record 17% of the UK’s electricity was produced by offshore wind while onshore wind provided a record 11.2%. Continuing to move in this direction and faster is crucial to reach net zero targets, and net zero IS achievable if we scale the renewable energy industry by training and boosting learning via innovative tech such as h-alt.io® ✅ If we achieve 30GW of onshore wind by the end of the decade, it will boost the economy by £45 billion and create 27,000 jobs ✅ And consumers benefit also. By moving to an electricity system dominated by offshore wind by 2035, households would be around £68 a year better off. Home-grown wind energy is cheaper than gas or imported power. 💰 ✅ More wind power means reducing emissions, combatting climate change and saving money. Everyone’s a winner! 👍🏼 RenewableUK #togetherwecandothis #windsofchange #renewableenergy #windpower
