All In appoints Attitude is Everything to create UK’s first accessibility standards for creativity and culture. "Attitude is Everything is delighted to have been asked to develop the standards and accreditation for the UK-wide All In scheme. This is a truly groundbreaking project to support the creative and cultural sector to provide accessible experiences that disabled consumers can trust and enjoy free of disabling barriers. We look forward to working with the four nation Arts Councils, industry stakeholders and disabled people over the year ahead on this exciting scheme." About us
Attitude is Everything improves Deaf and disabled people's access to live music by working in partnership with audiences, artists and the music industry to implement a Charter of Best Practice across the UK. Attitude is Everything supports the music industry to make live music events more accessible. Having begun as a pilot project in 2000, we are now a fully independent charity and part of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio of Organisations. We encourage events producers to go beyond legal obligations set out in The Equality Act and implement Best Practice, providing a fair and equal service to their Deaf and disabled customers.

Black Lives in Music are leading the change across the music industry, formally launching its Anti-Racism Code of Conduct at #WOMEX24 💡 Listening to Roger Wilson, director of ops & co-founder, last week was eye-opening and inspiring. "Change takes time but it also takes a lot of different currencies. Some of that currency is energy and some of it is courage." 💯 Celia Makin-Bell, our managing director says: "Black Lives in Music are key partners in our work to tackle inequity and discrimination across the music and live events industry. We welcome their Anti-Racism Code of Conduct, which we see as a vital part of ensuring inclusion and safe working environments for Black disabled people. We encourage the industry to engage with BLIM's new Equi-Track tool and believe it can be a key resource in tackling discrimination within the industry across all protected characteristics." 📝 Read more here > https://lnkd.in/e95sAT9U

We've been nominated for not one, but ✨two✨ awards! Massive thank you LIVE (Live music Industry Venues and Entertainment) 🎉 🎧 “We are thrilled that Attitude is Everything’s Beyond the Music project has been nominated for a LIVE Workforce Award. Since its inception the project has worked to improve the way the music and live events industry employs disabled professionals. Resources like our Accessible Employment Guide and our Creating an Accessible Workplace training are key to this. Plus, through our fantastic team of Future Leaders, we’ve created a supportive, inclusive community of emerging disabled professionals.” - Phoebe Roberts, Skills Development Manager 🌏 "We're honoured that we've been recognised for our pioneering work in uniting sustainability and accessibility in the live events sector. Our ‘No Climate Action Without Us’ toolkit, created with A Greener Future and Julie's Bicycle, elevates disabled voices in the climate emergency conversation. This toolkit offers a fresh perspective, collates innovation across the sector, and we're keen for it to help pave the way to inspire greener, more inclusive events." - Alex Covell, Live Events Access Manager Check out the brilliant organisations also nominated here > https://lnkd.in/eD7RNDyy

The new clauses from LIVE (Live music Industry Venues and Entertainment) on key action areas of waste, energy, water, food, merch & audience travel to make live music more sustainable 🌎 We're proud to support these efforts! 🙌 Our founder, Suzanne Bull MBE says: "Attitude is Everything is proud to be part of the LIVE Green industry initiative. What’s important about the initiative is that there are a range of resources provided alongside the Artist Commitment clauses. These resources show that both the artists and the sector can adopt and implement any clause or measure in a flexible way. The toolkit that we created with Julie's Bicycle and A Greener Future , 'No climate action without us’ takes a similar approach to having flexibility in its solutions. We’re pleased that our toolkit has been referenced as part of the initiative”. ⏩ https://lnkd.in/eyDsXUbs
