Basildon Council resolves Anti-Social Behaviour case Basildon Council has successfully resolved an anti-social behaviour (ASB) case involving a neighbour dispute at a local sheltered housing scheme through independent mediation. The council’s ASB officers intervened following reports of verbal abuse between two residents, which led to concerns about the effect this would have on other residents in the block. Using structured mediation, a satisfactory agreement was reached between both parties. The outcome has resulted in a more peaceful living environment while reinforcing the Council’s commitment to tackling Anti-social behaviour. Councillor Melisa McGeorge, Cabinet Member for Community Safety & Enforcement, said: “We have a zero-tolerance policy to such behaviour and on this occasion, I would like to thank the officers for the work they put in to support both residents to achieve a positive outcome.” To help Basildon Council tackle anti-social behaviour, report via our website https://lnkd.in/gpEU6g2j
