#FeatureFriday Today, we are happy to spotlight Stephanie Rees and Kenneth Igwe from Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and their Bevan Exemplars Programme Cohort 9 project. Tackling the environmental impact of surgery, they aim to replace chlorhexidine hand scrubs with Alcohol-Based Hand Rubs (ABHRs) at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, reducing ecological impact and water usage. We are pleased to share that Sir Paul Williams, Corresponding Bevan Commissioner, has been named a member of the external Ministerial Advisory Group on NHS Performance and Productivity. Jeremy Miles, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care made the announcement this month (01 October). The group will provide an independent review to enhance NHS Wales' performance. Falch iawn bod GISDA yn rhan o’r rhaglen 2024-2025 Comisiwn Bevan i ddatblygu ein gweledigaeth o sefydlu hwb therapiwtig i bobl ifanc ym Mangor, Gwynedd yn fuan. We are very proud to be part of Bevan Commission ‘s current cohort to receive support to develop our proposal of a new therapeutic hub for young people struggling with their mental health in Bangor, Gwynedd. We will be working closely with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and other partners to ensure that acute services for young people are more fit for purpose and young person friendly.
