Baked beans that took over 2 years in the making 🤯 And for many reasons... 👌 QUALITY is always our biggest priority, and with quality comes time + care. Our SUPERSTAR new product development manager Rosa Hernández sourced the BEST beans, tasted + tested the BEST tomato sauce and we eventually narrowed it down to 3, carefully crafted flavours: the rich tomato, the smoky chilli + the classic. 🙌Our mission is to make people obsessed with beans. To do that, we had to launch with the mainstream varieties like the butter bean + the chickpea (see them as the jocks + the cheerleaders, if ya like) but to source + create the BEST + MOST DELICIOUS VARIETIES POSSIBLE. From that stemmed a whole new other varieties to ease people into the world of beans, from carlin peas, to borlottis + now it feels right to tackle THE BAKED. 🐘The elephant in the room - hey old bean @Heinz - these guys have cracked the baked bean scene. It's become our Nation’s classic dish and for very good reason. We’re not trying to compete with these guys and we're not here to boujee up something that’s working for you. All beans are great beans in our eyes, but we want to bring a new + exciting product to healthy convenient food that is DELICIOUS. These are baked beans, but not as you know it. And we're SO EXCITED TO GET THEM OUT THERE.

(please take this “recipe” with a pinch of salt, OF COURSE a load more TLC went into developing these beauties, but that’s for another time, we just did this for ✨ dramatic effect✨)

How many of you can name this bean*? (well, we should really say *pulse) But the fact we’re even asking that question makes us a little sad 😞 These are CARLIN PEAS. And they’ve been growing on British soil for CENTURIES. But in came battery farmed animal-based protein sources + the OG plant protein (BEANS!) plummeted popularity 👎 But we NEED DEMAND for these super hero crops that save our soils, our bodies + our tastebuds. SO WE’RE BRINGING THEM BACK.⁠ ⁠ 💚We want folk to feel like they can use these peas as naturally as they do a chickpea in hummus 💚We want folk to feel like they can use these peas as naturally as they do a butter bean in a stew And through even taste alone - with their nutty, tender, OH SO CREAMY flavour + texture - we really do believe you’ll be convinced (seriously, they taste like banging old school mushy peas). And to those of you sat smuggly reading this thinking OF COURSE I KNOW WHAT A CARLIN PEA IS. Then we salute you. WE PRAISE YOU. 🤩 GREAT TASTE ACROSS THE BOARD 🤩 THE RESULTS ARE IN, and we now have an award for EVERY BEAN in our range. ⭐Quality + taste are THE most important factors to us in order to deliver on our mission in making people BEAN OBSESSED, and we're so proud to have Great Taste shining a light on the steps we take to deliver the most delicious products. 👌Every bean variety is suited to different climates. We then specially select the best bean from each harvest and cook them low and slow with just fresh water and salt, resulting in taste and texture unlike other commodity beans. 🙏 Our Organic White Beans have had a hard ride, but with expert quality control from our NPD manager Rosa Hernández we've tweaked our cooking times to make this bean even more delicious, meaning it could finally get the recognition it deserves. 100,000 MORE BEAN OBSESSIVES We hit a big ol' milestone this week - 100K INSTAGRAM FOLLOWERS 🤯 🤔How did we do it? It always leads back to our mission: to make people bean obsessed. You a) give them the BEST TASTING BEANS ON THE PLANET And b) INSPIRE them with delicious, tempting + DESIRABLE ways to use them. And that's what we set out to achieve through our Instagram content 💪 📱Amelia Christie-Miller set up this Instagram page long before our products even existed. It was a page purely designed for sharing bean recipes, to show just how DELICIOUS beans really can be. And so 2 years on, our Instagram has continued to do that. Our content aims to be:  🤩DESIRABLY DELICIOUS 🕺FULL OF BEANS 🙌 ACCESSIBLE TO ALL And we always strive to BEAN-REAL - keeping it human, embracing our failures + staying true to ourselves. To us, THOSE are how we deliver on our mission 💪 All beans are GREAT beans in our eyes, and we'll continue to spread this gospel far + wide.

LET THE TASTEBUDS DO THE TALKING 💚 There's a pretty big group of people - a group who we call bean champs - who are pretty obsessed with our beans. 😕 But there's an even bigger group who don't even know we exist. How do we bring them on board with our mission? 📦In June, 1,350 samples of our Queen Red Beans + Queen Chickpeas were shipped to soon-to-be-bean-champs across the country with HelloYummy Box. With 90% of their audience either having not heard, seen or tried our beans we just HAD to get them to see the light. And surprise food boxes, like HelloYummy Box are an EXCELLENT way of getting your product into households without having to physically hand it out 💪 But did they like it? THEY LOVED IT. 🎉 💯 A report came back to us - reading that 1/5 of people are guaranteed to choose our Queen Chickpeas over a similar product, making their intent to purchase again 10/10 ! Test. Fuelling + spreading the bean obsession ACROSS THE WORLD From Valencia, to Edinburgh, right down to Kent, team Bold Bean are spread sporadically, working hard to deliver on our mission no matter the location 💪 But as much as WFH can have it’s perks, there’s only so much full of beans energy you can give off in a Zoom call 🥴 and the quality of in-person contact time is unmatched So we had to do something about it. LUCKILY every 3 months we take a few days to come together as a team for some much needed quality time 💚 Last week we spent 5 days at the DROP DEAD GORGEOUS Manoir Mouret in the remote village of Andillac. It was a week filled with workshops, team meetings, recipe developing + DELICIOUS FOOD (with big thanks to Giovanna Ryan for ensuring we left well + truly FULL OF BEANS). You may look at these pictures and think did they even work at all? (WE DID WE PROMISE) But how interesting would you find an 8 hour reel of us replying to emails or in meetings. We could do it if ya want it 🤪 but these summery, beany salads and idyllic surroundings are probably more appealing. We might be biased, but we think it’s a pretty excellent way to work.
