  • Congratulations to our Executive Creative Director Stuart Button, whose “Disrupted Innocence” show has opened at The Brick Lane Gallery 🎨 . The gallery approached Stuart about exhibiting his work as part of its new year expo for new artists. His theme reflects on the saccharine nature of toys and how they quickly turn sour as children grow up. This, Stuart says, “is something I’m going through with my seven-year-old!” He has been mulling over this project ever since he got his own studio about a year ago. “I get into the studio every weekend for an hour or two, but I prep the ideas with sketches and Photoshop layouts over the course of a month - stealing 30 mins here and there. “So when I finally put ink to paper, I know exactly what I’m going to do. Plus I don’t have the patience for long, drawn-out artworks - my style is born out of neurological necessity and lack of spare time.” Although his artistic style, which he describes as “chaotic stupidity”, is very different, Stuart draws his inspiration from artists like Hieronymus Bosch and Francis Bacon. Their work “puts a twist on the every day and instils the viewer with both a sense of fun and melancholy”. He would love to have his own one-man show, and the money to fund his “inevitable third life crisis” but, in the meantime, he is motivated by a need to get his ideas out of his head and on paper “before they drive me crazy”! So how does Stuart’s art make him feel? “Euphoric when it turns out well. Proud when I sell something.     How I learned what it takes to organise WEF events (Here’s what goes on behind the scenes) During WEF week, Brandfuel Ltd delivered projects for 12 clients, including: 9 pavilions: Designed and built along the Promenade 23 trucks: Coordinating 23 truckloads of materials 375 crew members: Managed across multiple locations 109 apartments: Secured and overseen for accommodations I spoke with David Ball, Chairman and Founder of Brandfuel, to break down the key trends that shaped this year’s events—and what it takes to execute them successfully. WEF is like the Olympics of business events. Getting to experience it firsthand for the second year was incredible.

  • From desk to Davos 🌍 Our Creative team's incredible attention to detail is what makes them unique. For designer Ajay, being onsite and witnessing their concepts become reality in an environment as dynamic as #Davos, was an unforgettable highlight of his trip to #WEF2025. He explains how we delve into the topography of the Davos landscape to create something special for our client, Bloomberg. "Briefed with bringing subtle nuances of our outside surroundings inside, we meticulously layered the contour lines across 25 layers, to create this striking wooden panel installation. It's not just a design; it's the landscape of Davos brought to life." Our other favourite details from this year are: 🤲 IHC's infinity window was designed to represent the many unique organisations within the IHC family. Although they are singular entity, IHC understand the true power of the collective. 🎿 For Zurich House, we drew inspiration from the brand and its progressive approach to architecture in its global offices. Balancing the natural charm of the Davos mountains with Zurich’s geometric identity. Our aesthetic was ‘Alpine Modern’ - warm, cosy with a modern edge, featuring dynamic, engineered shapes and natural materials. ☁️ Cloudflare on the Promenade was designed to disrupt in an incredibly noisy environment. A contemporary twist on a traditional Swiss chalet, if you look closely you'll see that the natural wooden slating bows and undulates to form a cloud. #DesignInspiration #CreativeExcellence

    The snow has settled on this year’s World Economic Forum, and we’re now firmly back on UK soil. What a whirlwind week it was - it’s no wonder that we love our work in Davos. Over the course of the week we delivered projects for 12 clients. This included: * Designing and creating 9 Promenade pavilions * Transporting 23 trucks * Managing logistics for our 375-strong crew, and  * Facilitating the use of 109 apartments Thank you to all our fabulous freelancers and suppliers for making this Swiss adventure so special and successful. #wemakeevents #eventsprofs #wef2025

Towards the end of last year, we travelled to Málaga with Google Security to contribute to Escal8 2024, an annual premier information security event. Escal8 is a dynamic gathering that brings together the brightest minds in cybersecurity for a range of engaging activities: ✨ Hackceler8 (CTF Finals): The ultimate showdown where the top eight teams from the qualification round battle it out in a high-stakes Capture the Flag competition. ✨ bugSWAT: A unique training and networking event tailored for elite bug-hunters, fostering collaboration and skill-building. ✨ init.g: A programme designed for promising students in the region, offering insightful talks and hands-on training in a variety of infosec topics. ✨ KOF: Google’s thought leadership sessions, featuring workshops and discussions aimed at government officials and key opinion leaders in cybersecurity. Spanning three action-packed days, Escal8 is a vibrant blend of competitions, workshops, educational talks, networking opportunities, and memorable dinners. Being on-site is always a thrill — we get to witness the electrifying energy of Capture the Flag, deepen our own technical skills, and connect with an inspiring community of cybersecurity enthusiasts.

    2024 was an incredible year for the UK Advertising Exports Group known as #UKAEG, and I’m proud of what we achieved! The 2024 UKAEG Impact Report highlights our unwavering commitment to delivering measurable results, connecting members with key international markets, and driving business growth. We made remarkable progress in reinforcing the UK’s leadership in global advertising.     This week, we’re celebrating a remarkable milestone for one of our longest-serving Fuellers, Fi Weir. Fi joined Brandfuel 17 years ago as a PA to David Ball and has since grown into her current role as Head of People Management. Throughout her time here, Fi has played a pivotal role in supporting our staff's growth, guiding them from interns to directors and everything in-between. As employee number 22 on the payroll, she’s had the privilege of working with more than 200 Fuellers. Some of Fi’s standout moments include: ✨ Earning her CIPD qualification ✨ Leading Lumina training sessions ✨ Competing in the legendary Rockeoke at a 2015 agency night at Hollywood Bowl, where she performed backing vocals ✨ Walking barefoot on broken glass at a summer party ✨ Meeting a group of inspiring Yorkshire women who went from housewives to rowing across the Atlantic ✨ Participating in a charity day, where she took part in graffiti workshops and a DJ masterclass with young people from S.T.O.R.M ✨ Sharing a conversation with Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin about water glasses in the Selfridges glassware department while shopping for Christmas client gifts.
