Really good day helping to donate aggregates, timber, and other materials to a local primary school (St. Edmund’s Bury C of E primary academy) in Bury St. Edmunds today. A wonderful school with an incredibly kind and dedicated staff who’s care and affection for the children’s education is so clear. Me and the rest of the Breheny Civil Engineering team at the Rushbrooke Lane project, approached the school when it became apparent to Gary Fowler they were looking for assistance/ donations for their Outside Play and Learning (OPAL) program to help create ‘mud kitchens’, sand boxes and other great outdoor spaces for the kids to develop and have fun in. Particuallarly good to see our ops. Darren and Tom enjoy their day assisting with this also and after a brief engagement with some select students we can hopefully inspire some future generations into our industry! Looking forward to assisting further with the school and seeing this project complete in future months. Really proud to be a part of a company which is proud of its roots and always proactively seeking to add benefit to local communities we are from and become a part of! #BrehenyCivilEngineering #DeliveringSocialValue #Localcommunity
🌟 Delivering Social Value in Our Communities 🌟 At Breheny Civil Engineering, we believe in going beyond construction, we build for a lasting impact. We were proud to deliver our first load of materials for new play areas at St Edmundsbury C of E Primary Academy, repurposed from our recently completed project at Rushbrooke for Denbury Homes. By supporting local schools and reusing materials sustainably, we’re investing in the future, one playground at a time. This delivery was especially meaningful for me, as it brought me back to my old school. Thanks to Benjamin Russell for organising. #SocialValue #CommunityImpact #Sustainability #BrehenyCivilEngineering

We attended the Wickersley Partnership Trust Year 10 Careers Fair at the Cranworth Road site in Eastwood, Rotherham. Year 10 students attended from Wickersley School & Sports College, Clifton Community School, Rawmarsh Community School and Thrybergh Academy. We attended in support of our commitment to careers opportunities for young people via the YorCivils Framework. The neatness of the stand was soon altered by the students who were keen to find out about Civil Engineering! #civilengineering #careers

We were delighted to have met with Patrick Spencer MP for Central Suffolk and North Ipswich as part of the Sizewell C Consortium, to discuss how Sizewell C is positively impacting on the Suffolk economy. We detailed the projects that we are constructing at Sizewell and in the wider region, Apprenticeships and future plans for Breheny. As a Company that has been based in Suffolk for over 60 years, we welcome the opportunities to build infrastructure to support the construction of Sizewell C, using our Suffolk based employees and supply chain. For International Women's Day this year we celebrate all the wonderful women in our team at Breheny proving that there are opportunities in construction for all. A few members of our team joined the local Brownies group and took part in the #girlscandoanything job interview evening. The girls learnt about #womeninconstruction and earnt their Girlguiding Anglia IWD badge to celebrate.
