We recently hosted our own Inclusion Week, a global series of events to profile the diversity of thought and backgrounds within our teams and spotlight the charitable work that Bridgepoint undertakes in local communities. Highlights included:
💭 Dialogues around inclusion, from a colleague panel discussion on balancing work and parental responsibilities, to Inclusive Leadership Training workshops designed to build the skills needed to cultivate high-performing teams
🏅 Hosting double Olympic gold medallist Dame Kelly Holmes for an engaging Q&A event with our Director, Head of Investor Reporting, Oliver Smiddy. Reflecting on her life and career in the military and athletics, Dame Kelly shared insights on nurturing an environment in which everyone can succeed, regardless of background
🤝 Collaborating on a workshop with Kadim Tas, CEO of JOBLINGE, a non-profit organization committed to helping young adults from diverse backgrounds overcome structural challenges and enter the job market. Our colleagues in Frankfurt had the privilege of meeting young people from the programme, offering advice and support as they prepare for their careers. Special thanks to Emily Siemens (neé Fricke) Chido Mutasa and Carsten Kratz for their organisation of this event
🌱 Sponsoring a charity football tournament with Football Beyond Borders, a charity working to transform the lives of disadvantaged children and young adults by harnessing their passion for sport and supporting their journey through education. Organised by Edward Appleton and Ellie Speed, the tournament gathered peers and advisors from across our industry, raising £20,000 for the charity
🌟Undertaking meaningful volunteering initiatives within local communities. Lily Amyot and our IT team organised the donation of 100+ Microsoft Surface Pro devices as part of ongoing volunteering work with local schools, ensuring students have the technology needed for their education. Elsewhere, our Credit team volunteered through the Marble Arch London BID, helping renovate local community gardens and support residents of a nearby hospice, with thanks to Katie Cotterell and Anna Monk for organising
Thank you to all of our many colleagues who got involved, and who continue to make Bridgepoint an exceptional place to work and thrive, regardless of background.
