We had such a brilliant day yesterday taking part in woodland management volunteering with City of Trees at Clayton Vale in Manchester. 🌲 Our team of eight took part in a variety of activities ranging from clearing the forest floor, felling young trees, creating forest floor habitats and planting wildflower beds with shade-tolerant, native woodland wildflowers. BWB planted plots totalling 10m2 of wildflowers which play a crucial role in maintaining healthy ecosystems by supporting pollinators, attracting beneficial insects, and enriching soil health. Thank you to all our volunteers for taking part and for City of Trees for enabling this fantastic day in supporting our local environment! 👏

Do cycle lanes make cities better—or just more controversial? Love them or loathe them, cycle lanes spark strong opinions. Some see them as a solution to congestion and pollution, while others argue they take space away from cars and go underused. So what's the truth? At BWB, we believe in data-driven decisions when it comes to transport planning. That's why James Ashton, Principal Engineer at BWB, has broken down the real impact of cycle lanes—the benefits, the challenges, and what the public really thinks. 🚦 Do cycle lanes actually reduce congestion? 🌍 Are they worth the taxpayer's investment? 💬 And why do they divide public opinion so much?
