We are thrilled to announce that we have retained our Platinum accreditation with Investors in People (IIP) for the third time on the trot, we scored 793 out of 900—the highest in our sector! IIP is the highest level of accreditation for people management practices, recognised internationally for promoting employee well-being and productivity. Since first achieving IIP accreditation in 2006, we have continuously improved, attaining Platinum status in 2019 and maintaining it ever since. This places us in the top 1% of businesses accredited by IIP, showcasing our commitment to our people. Congratulations to our award-winning BIOS project for Teesside University, which has been certified as BREEAM Outstanding! BIOS is a state-of-the-art life science facility at the heart of the Middlesborough Campus, housing four floors of cutting-edge lab space. It has sustainability at its heart, incorporating a range of green initiatives, from PV panels to Air Source Heat Pumps, and is designed to be low carbon in operation. As well as its BREEAM rating, BIOS also has an embodied carbon figure of 698kg CO2e/m2 achieved through careful consideration of materials and meticulously planned operations. It’s no wonder BIOS won Project of the Year at the 2024 National Constructing Excellence Awards – we're so proud of the work we do in Teesside.
