CC is pleased to be part of the UKRI's Quantum Missions pilot. Together with SEEQC UK (lead), Oxford Instruments plc Nanotechnology Tools, Rigetti Computing UK, National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC) and The University of Edinburgh the consortium aims to deliver a quantum error correction (QEC) readout testbed. The ability for quantum computers to run efficient quantum error correction is critical to ensure errors are quickly corrected and do not build up in the system. This investment award by Innovate UK aims to accelerate the commercialisation of quantum technologies by removing technological barriers. Each of the 10 projects receiving funding is addressing different barriers to adoption. The resulting benefits could see breakthroughs from drug discovery to financial portfolio optimisation.
Quantum computing is driving us into the future, reducing costs and energy requirements. At techUK’s #TechPolicy2025 conference, Secretary of State Peter Kyle announced some exciting news for the quantum landscape. 💥 A share of £12M funding for winners of Innovate UK’s Quantum Missions Pilot 💥 SEEQC will install new prototype hardware at the National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC) to scale up quantum computing 💥 Launch of the Quantum Regulatory Forum to look at quantum regulation challenges Find out more: https://lnkd.in/eGbrgPAq
