We proudly supported Railpen's redevelopment of Eastpoint Business Park, creating a pioneering 200,000 sq. ft life sciences campus in Oxford. As transport planning consultants, we worked with a great team to develop a transport strategy focused on sustainable travel, incorporating car parking restraint, substantial cycle parking and facilities, and enhancements to local infrastructure for pedestrians, cyclists, and public transport. This development, designed by Scott Brownrigg, features three four-story laboratory buildings and a single-storey amenity space to meet the diverse needs of science and tech tenants. It includes community-focused amenities such as a state-of-the-art learning lab accessible to local students, a social hub, and green spaces open to the public. Railpen is aiming for BREEAM Outstanding, WELL, Wired and Smart Platinum ratings, as well as Cycle Score Platinum, underscoring a commitment to sustainability and community impact. A resolution to grant planning permission was achieved this week within the London Legacy Development Corporation for the creation of a 337 studio Co-Living scheme in Hackney Wick, alongside a meaningful affordable creative and workspace provision on behalf of Halcyon Development Partners. A resolution to grant planning permission was recently given by the South Downs National Park Authority for the redevelopment of the former Lewes Bus Station site. The project includes the construction of a mixed-use development comprising 35 new homes and ground-floor commercial space. The plans also include improvements to the surrounding public realm featuring new footpaths and landscaping with trees. Caneparo Associates worked as part of a dedicated consultant team to identify a suitable location and design for a replacement bus facility in the town equipped with modern facilities, and which is deliverable. Many thanks to Gardiner & Theobald LLP for a friendly football game at Coram’s Fields this week. It was a warm muggy night but it didn’t stop a spirited performance with a wonder goal, a potentially disputed hat-trick, and a good post-match refreshment session. We are excited to share that The Resident, Farringdon was recently approved at the City of London’s planning committee. The hotel project for Mactaggart Family & Partners will include 128 bedrooms, a restaurant, cafe, and retail space, with a pocket garden for guests and the public to enjoy. The Resident Farringdon is due to open in 2027 in the heart of the ‘Culture Mile’ where community, culinary, and commercial innovation is at the centre of this thriving area. It was a pleasure to be part of the professional team providing #transportplanning expertise for the scheme. A brilliant afternoon last week partaking in the charity rounders event hosted by Trigon DM for #PoppysFund, a great event for such a great cause. We had the pleasure of partnering up with Chetwoods for some competitive fun, and although we did not win the rounders, our very own Christopher Clark and Theo Brigham came home victorious from the raffle! #ImperialChairty #CharityRounders #TransportPlanning #HighwayDesign #Construction

We’re excited to share that we are working up plans for the #development of Arrow Point Bolton, a 327,750 sq ft speculative #logistics development adjacent to junction 6 of the M61 . The site was acquired in 2020 for our €3 billion #SIRE (Strategic Industrial Real Estate) joint venture with Cerberus Capital Management. Arrow Point Bolton will comprise two logistics units of 107,500 sq ft and 220,250 sq ft and will feature extensive #sustainability features, targeting a BREEAM certification of ‘Excellent’ and an EPC ‘A’ rating. Subject to planning consent, completion of the units is expected in the latter half of 2025. The site benefits from its strategic location within the premier northwest distribution corridor and provides excellent transport links through its close access to the M60, M6, M62 and broader regional and national motorway networks. The facility will also provide direct access to Manchester International Airport and the Port of Liverpool, allowing for the easy transport of international cargo. To find out more about Arrow Point Bolton, please contact Arrow’s George Gaynor or our #letting agent B8 Real Estate. https://lnkd.in/eimX6n33 #logisticsdevelopment #ESG

DLBP is extremely pleased to have secured planning approval for this year’s edition of The Treasure House Fair at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, from 27 June to 2 July 2024. Following the first edition of the event in 2024, for which DLBP secured planning permission for, the organisers sought some changes to the size and design of the temporary structures, the parking arrangements, and event dates. To regularise these minor changes in planning, DLBP prepared a minor material amendment application to vary the original permission. DLBP acted as project lead by working closely with the organisers to ensure all necessary changes would be captured in the application; coordinating a team of technical consultants that include specialists in matters of acoustics (Sandy Brown), arboriculture (SJAtrees), event management (20-20 Events Management Ltd) and highways (Caneparo Associates) to ensure all technical matters were considered and addressed in the submission; and preparing a supporting statement justifying why the proposal should be approved. We were therefore delighted the Council agreed with our assessment in permitting the application. This will ensure The Treasure House Fair will continue to provide such significant contributions to the Royal Hospital Chelsea, and the cultural life of Kensington and Chelsea more widely. We wish The Treasure House Fair every success for the event opening.

A big thank you to Andrew Edser for showing us around the Somerset Road Covered Courts site at Wimbledon earlier this week. It is a fantastic facility, and it was a privilege to be able to visit now that it has been built. Caneparo Associates provided traffic and transport input on the proposals that introduced six new indoor courts, six outdoor courts, a new player drop-off arrangement for The Championships, cycle parking and a basement level car park on the site.
