Updates

  • Today, is Cheshire Day, the official county day. 30th March marks the day the county was given its Charter of Liberties in 1300 by King Edward I and is now an opportunity to celebrate what makes Cheshire a great place to live, work and play – recognising our rich and diverse culture, celebrating everything that is uniquely Cheshire. This year’s theme is a celebration of local foods, products and places. 📕Cheshire Archives kindly shared that they hold the earliest recorded recipe for orange marmalade, taken from Madam Eliza Cholmondeley’s book of remedies and recipes. 🧂With a special tour of The Lion Salt Works, we had the chance to learn all about the history of salt-making in Cheshire. 🌳Did you know that you can buy fresh, locally grown and organic food in Ellesmere Port? Meet the volunteers of Whitby Park’s Community Garden. Happy Cheshire Day! Head over to out Instagram to see more 👉 https://lnkd.in/eriqd5mH
