🏳️🌈 Last month our LGBT+ Employee Network welcomed Sahir House, Opentable and many others to Mann Island to raise awareness of the importance of LGBT+ History Month, and share info on why it's such a relevant topic at the moment. Thanks to sponsorship from Mersey Ferries and supplied by The Bagelry, they were able to raise over £200 for Sahir House, which is money that will go directly back into LGBT+ funded services. 🎬📽️New BBC drama 'This City Is Ours', which was supported by the LCR Production Fund via the Liverpool Film Office is already being hailed a success after it boosted the local economy by £9m. #BreakingNews | We believe in reaching for the stars 💫⭐ - so today the Liverpool City Region is taking a giant leap into space 🚀with the signing of a stellar agreement with Axiom Space. Steve Rotheram, Mayor of the Liverpool City Region and Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the developer of the first commercial space station Axiom Space. The agreement - the first between a UK region and Axiom - will establish a framework for collaboration on space-based research, development, and manufacturing, helping to position the North West as a global centre for innovation in microgravity science and space technology. With in-space manufacturing, biotech, and communications poised to revolutionize industries worldwide, this partnership will ensure the UK - and the North West in particular - plays a leading role in this rapidly growing sector, which is expected to be worth £490 billion globally by 2030. The agreement builds on discussions between Mayor Rotheram and British astronaut Tim Peake, 👨🚀 a strategic advisor to Houston-based Axiom Space who are the principal provider of commercial human spaceflight services, including missions to the International Space Station. 👇 https://ow.ly/NEZS50VlIpN

#MIPIM2025 | "In Liverpool we have the Littlewoods Film Studios which is currently being developed as well as Baltic Creative which is a great digital and technical hub for creatives.
