Co-Production Collective, at UCL (University College London) is a diverse and growing community of people from a variety of backgrounds who come together to learn, connect, and champion co-production for lasting change. We do this through providing consultancy, delivering training and presentations, and participating in the design and implementation of research projects, all with our community members involved. We host ‘Co-Pro Cuppas’, a monthly meet-up for anyone with an interest in co-production, offering the chance to share and learn with others. We also work hard at practising what we preach and co-produce ourselves. This means our policies, practices, priorities and plans are shaped by our community for our own benefit but also as an example of co-production for others to learn from. We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Mark Dale. Mark was involved in the work of the Collective over many years and integral to work in Essex around co-production and the improvement of health and social care services. Its with deep sadness and a heavy heart that I am sharing the news of Mark Dale's passing. I worked very closely with Mark over the last 4 years and regarded him as a colleague, a peer, and a friend. For many people the loss of Mark will be profound, and I know he will be greatly missed. I am doing what I can to support the family at this very difficult time, and have set up a gofundme page to help with funeral costs, please share and support if you can. Mark Dale my dear friend, you will be greatly missed, your impact on health and social care services locally, regionally, and nationally will be lasting and is immeasurable. I will do everything I can to honour your legacy and continue the movement of coproduction in health and social care.
Today as we celebrate our 4th birthday we wanted to say a big thank you to all our community for all the projects you have been involved with and for all you have done to champion co-production this year. Please keep 5 December free as we will hosting an online sharing and learning event for our Measuring Success in Co-Production: Learning by Doing Programme. More details to come soon. We are passionate about promoting the benefits of co-production and sharing learning with others via the news section of our website and in our newsletters. At the session we talked about what you can use LinkedIn for other than job hunting and gave people the tools to get started if they wanted to.
