At the end of September the London Cripps Leadership Advisors team headed out to Watford to volunteer at a community allotment which one of our very own team members, Federico Filippi volunteers at. The aim of the allotment is to grow organic produce for local charities and initiatives including one food bank, a kitchen affiliated with Food for All and schools in the area. In addition to this, the allotment provides a positive model of what urban and suburban food production can look like and how it works to encourage other areas to do the same. Our team helped out by harvesting vegetables, sorting and grading them so they can be donated, gardening and even constructing a new area to grow fruit.
