Tomorrow our 4th annual Cargo Bike Cruise with MP Smarter Travel will set off from outside TLB HQ at 3PM, with a record number of 80 bikes set to join the ride! Cargo bikes have transformed freight transportation in London. What once was seen as a novelty is now a mainstream, eco-friendly, and efficient way to move everything from laundry to legal documents. We've see this transition first hand in London Bridge through our #BikesforBusinesss project, with over 200 businesses embracing pedal powered deliveries since the project began in 2019. Things can happen between the time an item gets PAT tested. Don't just rely on a sticker to prevent you coming to harm. On further inspection of the area where the hob was being used, I found another one in use and pan left very close to it. This appeared to be the cause of the damage. Bit of thought about how the item was being used could have prevented the appliance being damaged damage. Another fantastic visit and more fascinating insights as we recently welcomed Aaron Fleming-Saheed of Cycling Sparks to Metpro. Operating within London and having ditched the van for e-cargo bikes, Aaron and his team are revolutionising the industry as they aim to do things differently and better, all with a significantly reduced carbon footprint. Photoshoot and a staff night out! Can’t say too much just yet but we've been on a photo shoot over the past two days which as electricians, is not a key part of our training, but we managed 😉 I think you can safely say we are pretty visible when we're out and about these days also.
