The Future of DLT-based Capital Markets in Europe 💬 Last week, we had the pleasure to welcome many interested participants and great guest speakers to our event in Frankfurt. In their keynotes, our colleague Dr. Matthias Hirtschulz talked about how DLT can help create a more integrated European market and how current initiatives serve that goal, Jens Hachmeister from Deutsche Börse's Clearstream talked about how hybrid digital markets, both DLT- and non-DLT-based, are important to connect today's capital markets with those of tomorrow, and Max J. Heinzle from 21X explained what it is like to run the first licensed DLT TSS under the European Pilot Regime and how their platform can increase transparency and efficiency in trading and settlement. During a fireside chat, our colleague Dr. Marc Henniges and the two guest speakers then elaborated more deeply on challenges with instant or deferred settlement, data availability and standardization, and the future of capital markets. Afterwards, we enjoyed great discussions with our guests over food and drinks. Thank you all for coming and making the evening a wonderful experience! On March 8, we celebrated International Women's Day, and, of course, d-fine was involved! 🎉 We hosted and attended several events. Here are some examples. Our activities started with the "PANDA Dinner Club" at our Hamburg office on March 4. In collaboration with the PANDA | The Women Leadership Network, the event welcomed 35 to 40 participants for an evening filled with networking and discussions, including talks on topics such as digitalization, data analytics, and AI in business. Our colleagues Janina Erb, Dr Sophia Bremm, Dr Rebekka Höing and Nadja Schuster were part of the event in the "Hafencity". On March 13, we attended the Microsoft event in Munich. About 130 participants were offered a varied program, including presentations by MS executives on the topic "Investing in our future – enabling, innovate", a talk on the promotion and development of women in the modern workplace, round tables on career advancement and how AI influences the working world for women. Our d-fine team, consisting of Johanna Schreier, Dr. Ariane C. Boehm, and Moritz Sohns, represented us there. In addition, there were other events such as the "Women in Data Science" conference or our "Women's Day: Case Event" and "d-fine Date Special". Berufspraktische Tage – Ein Blick in die Zukunft 🚀 Im Februar duften wir Victoria im Office Wien begrüßen, die ihre berufspraktischen Tage bei d-fine verbracht hat. Sie hatte die Gelegenheit, fünf unserer Expertinnen und Experten aus unterschiedlichen Bereichen zu begleiten und dabei einen umfassenden Eindruck von der vielfältigen Welt der Beratung zu gewinnen. Mit dabei waren die Themen: Data Science und Python, Record Linkage in der Gesundheitsforschung, DSGVO-konforme Datenverarbeitung, Bankwesen, Kreditvergabe, Zinsrisikomanagement, Nachhaltigkeitsberichterstattung und eine Case Study zur Klimarisikoanalyse.
