Acorn Farm Project Time Capsule Placement 🌱   Recently, we had the pleasure of joining children from Bready Jubilee Primary School, along with the Mayor of Derry City & Strabane and Councillor Lilian Seenoi Bar to place a time capsule in the subfloor of the new Geodesic Dome at Acorn Farm, marking an exciting project milestone and capturing messages for the future.   Doran Consulting is leading the Acorn Farm project, a transformative initiative for the council designed to promote sustainable living, environmental education and community involvement.   The Acorn Farm construction is progressing well, with work underway on key features including: ▶️ 8m and 20m diameter geodesic domes, including a new eco-facility with event space and plaza ▶️ Landscaping & green infrastructure, feature glasshouse, amphitheatre, planters, lighting and public realm enhancements The Acorn Farm project is setting a new benchmark for environmental excellence and is designed to achieve BREEAM and Passive House accreditations. The project features the world’s first Passivhaus inside a Geodesic Dome. The sustainable design practices underscore the project's dedication to ensuring the highest standards of energy efficiency and sustainability.
