On site at Bristol Airport, part of the £400m investment journey into expanding its terminal. Instructed by Encon Construction Ltd to deliver refurb works to the Main Airside Gate which includes an additional lane for airside access. Phase 1 was handed over at the end of 2024 with the further instruction to design and build the structural steel frame and cladding for the roof. And the good news continues, we have also been awarded further work to commence on site shortly to refurb the existing two lanes as part of Phase 2. It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of our colleague and friend, Paul Stacey, who unexpectedly passed away on 17th February 2025.    Paul gave 12 years loyal service to Encon as a tradesman and will be sadly missed.   A service will be held on Friday 28th March, 12pm at Cwmbran Crematorium followed by refreshments and a celebration of Paul’s life at Oasis Club in Croesyceiliog, Cwmbran.

Llongyfarchiadau! 🎉 Congratulations to our Trainee Estimator, Isobel Baldwin-Pritchard who has been accepted to study BSc Degree Apprenticeship Quantity Surveying at University of Wales Trinity Saint David. We are excited to see Isobel thrive within her construction industry journey and Encon will continue to offer support for her to do so! UWTSD has been ranked 1st in Wales, and joint 3rd in the UK for Student Satisfaction, by the Times Higher Education (THE) based on the results of this year’s National Student Survey (NSS). Good luck to Isobel, who will begin her course in September 2025!

👷♂️ Encon undertook the design and construction of the UK’s largest independent builders, MKM Building Supplies centre. This project was constructed in collaboration with our client Legal & General; and the project team C4 Projects Ltd, ADS Structural Ltd and AMROC Group. Construction works consisted of a 2,000m2 builders merchant unit including offices, canteen, product showroom, second floor mezzanine and warehouse, associated car parking, access road and S278 works, external works, services and infrastructure improvements. Built to a high specification including three types of cladding - steel frame and built up cladding system consisting of both vertical and horizontal cladding panels.
