xWave Technologies, an Irish healthtech start-up, has won a key contract with the NHS covering eight trusts in the north east of England. xWave, will be providing its proprietary clinical decision support (CDS) software to GPs across the region which will serve more than 3 million patients. This will help the GPs access the right diagnostic test for patients at the right time which should reduce patient waiting lists and ease pressure on the health service. The NHS has an estimated 600 million patient interactions per year, or 1.7 million per day. This includes interactions with GPs, community services, hospitals, mental health services, and ambulances. https://lnkd.in/eKfB7zug Mitchell O'Gorman I Marie-Claire Henry
