We hosted a Healthy (Kind Of) Well-being Breakfast at our Kettering and Leeds offices. And yes, those ginger shots were a hit! 🥤 It was truly a pleasure to have Lee Foster from Kelly's Heroes join us to discuss the importance of mental health and how we can support each other, both personally and professionally. HVSS recently completed a 1km 11kV excavation and installation project, connecting 2 separate points of connection to prepare for future development at a site in Daventry. The project included installing and commissioning 2 new substations, ensuring power supply and efficient pre-commissioning works before the final termination of the HV cables. ⚡   At HVSS, we specialise in meeting your utility needs. 🌱 Building a More Sustainable Future Together 🌱 At HVSS, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) isn’t just a responsibility—it’s a passion that motivates us to give back. We are committed to creating long-term sustainability and promoting community well-being, which goes beyond environmental stewardship; it includes supporting those within our local community. We are proud to have partnered with Teamwork Trust, a Northamptonshire charity dedicated to providing day services for adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges. Recently, our team visited the Teamwork Trust Kettering centre to support the creation of a sensory exploration garden and assist in building a much-needed storage shed. The project aims to offer service users a welcoming outdoor space, including seating areas, a bug hotel, and opportunities to grow fruits, vegetables, and flowers. It was a privilege for our team to work alongside the service users, share a meal, and have a conversation with them. They showed great interest in what we do at HVSS and enthusiasm for this new project. A special shoutout to Hevey Building Supplies Limited (Kettering branch) for supplying us with ton bags, making it much easier to manage the garden waste and helping to start bringing this vision to life! This week, we held a Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, and it was a great success! The HVSS team gathered in our Kettering office, bringing an array of sweet and savoury treats. ☕🍰 A big thank you to everyone who contributed and made donations - the generosity at HVSS reinforces our family ethos and demonstrates how we can unite for a worthy cause.We also hosted a raffle, with 3 lucky winners to be announced on Monday! 🏆 So far, we’ve raised an impressive £472.50 Thank you all for your incredible support!

Join us in welcoming Jamie Rushin as the newest member of our Special Projects team at HVSS! Jamie joins us as a Senior Project Manager, focusing on our 33kV Primaries and Grid Connection projects. With 18+ years of experience in the Electrical industry, Jamie has taken on a variety of roles, from electrical design to fault restoration and now manages multiple ongoing projects. Outside of his role with us he has some real varied interests, "besides being a true outdoorsy family man, there's something people may not know about me - I adore musical theatre and have done since a very young age and I have attended many shows in my life (even staring in some in some at a young age!). This year, I finally fulfilled a dream by attending a show at the Moulin Rouge. Oh, and when I get control of the TV at home, it’s all about American Football!" We are excited to have your expertise on our team! 👏

Today we are celebrating Dave's 5 years of hard work with HVSS 🎉 To recognise this milestone, Dave Lane CEng MIET will receive an additional day of annual leave (which you receive every 2, 5 and 10 years for length of service), along with his fully paid private healthcare benefits, which he earned when he reached the 3-year mark with us. Dave joined us as a Contracts Manager and quickly rose through the ranks to become Special Projects Manager, and now, he is our Head of Special Projects. With his expertise in electrical transmission, distribution, and power generation construction, Dave plays a crucial role in managing our major projects. As a Chartered Electrical Engineer and a proud member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), he leads a technical team focused on the tendering and delivery of HV and EHV schemes across the UK. Thank you, Dave, for upholding professionalism and delivering major projects, with a constant commitment to achieving excellence. Here's to many more successful years ahead! 👏
