The upcoming changes to water company charges are imminent. We have provided detailed information on our website about what these changes look like and what it means for you. In order to make the most of the income offset payments, wherever possible, mains must be installed and tested and connections completed within two weeks of the 31st March deadline to allow for full completion and submission of necessary documentation. Each water company has a different procedures for transitioning to the removal of income offset. Alongside understanding the financial impact this will have on your future developments, it’s important you understand what this means for your current developments. To help make these changes as easy as possible for you, we've detailed each water companies' approach for claiming income offset for your existing agreements. Click the link below to read the full article. https://lnkd.in/dHN-R2cT #Ofwat #WaterConnections #NAV
From the 1st of April 2025, water companies are updating their charges for new connections and this year sees significant changes. Income offset, a payment per plot which helps reduce the upfront costs of connecting to the water network, will no longer be available for new or existing developments from this date. Introduction of an environmental component, a charge made by the water companies for connecting a plot to their network, and regulation of environmental incentives are being put in place, to promote water efficiency, and sustainable drainage solutions. By using UKPS for your water and wastewater connections, you'll continue to receive asset value on your developments, helping to mitigate the impact of the removal of the income offset. That’s because we’re part of the Last Mile Group. Please note, charges vary by water company, use the link below to access the water companies charging statements applicable to your area. https://lnkd.in/e5Kg2zmA We’re here to help you navigate these changes and provide sustainable solutions for your developments. Did you know that buyers of new build properties in the UK reduced carbon emissions by an incredible 500,000 tonnes last year? Our Ground Source Heat Networks are at least 80% less carbon intensive than natural gas systems. By harnessing ambient heat from the ground, these systems efficiently and affordably provide both cooling and hot water. With bespoke solutions and fixed tariffs for residents, we can design and build a ground source heat network suitable for your developments, working to reduce carbon emissions even further and create energy efficient homes.
