🎉 Thrilled to be representing Flax & Teal Limited on the Department for Business and Trade UK-India Adaptivity & Resilience Trade Mission focused on Disaster Risk and Resilience to #Mumbai, #Surat and #Chennai. 🫧 Case in point: in #UNESCO research, 59% of respondents said #openscience was Important or Very Important to hydrology research [1] As real-world users - from #insurance to #urbanplanning to #disasterrelief - single-model, single-vendor, locked-down, exclusive systems are dangerously limiting in the context of emerging, collaborative disaster research. 🗓️ In 2025, #scientificmodels are becoming more democratized using robust, transparent and scalable infrastructure tech (🚀 #numerics, #HPC, #AI #ML). Reflecting on a creative, collaborative, fun and incredibly insightful few days in Birmingham this week. As part of Flax & Teal Limited I've been accepted, onto Innovate UK's Global Business Innovation Programme. To prepare for this March trip, the cohort of delegates met up to get to know each other, review and iterate on our pitches, and learn about all things India. Big thank you to the wonderful Will Hill from Stronger Stories and ⭐️Deepak Pathak for some intense coaching. I've taken away some fab new tools - and really unlocked some inspiring ideas on the value proposition for the product I'm researching. Bring on the India trip!
