🥣 Foundervine Breakfast Club is gaining momentum! 🥣 Yesterday, we gathered at the stunning Mastercard offices – a big thank you to Daniella, Glenys, and team for hosting us 🙌 It was amazing to hear from Derren Powell about Mastercard’s work with entrepreneurs, supporting countless UK businesses behind the scenes. Special shoutout to Elinor Honigstein for her insightful talk on boosting LinkedIn presence. While I have a good number of followers already, Elinor reminded me of the importance of intentionality and structure in how we present ourselves. A key takeaway? If you're sharing facts, it’s not bragging! Thank you, Elinor, for that gem. At Foundervine, we’re passionate about connecting the entrepreneurial ecosystem to share opportunities. The Founders Breakfast Club is just one of the ways we’re doing that. Great company, great food, and amazing vibes. Reflecting on Black Square 2024: A Platform for Change and Leadership This year’s Black Square 2024 event was a phenomenal experience, providing a platform for meaningful conversations around leadership, equity, and systemic change. I had the privilege of meeting Lester Holloway, a respected journalist and advocate for racial equity and progressive policies in the UK. Lester’s insights into amplifying Black voices within mainstream media truly resonated with me. His commitment to ensuring that our stories are heard, understood, and acted upon is a powerful reminder of the importance of media representation in shaping public narratives. It was a privilege to hear his thoughts firsthand and witness his dedication to challenging the status quo. We also had the pleasure of connecting with the Co founder Cecil Adjalo Foundervine, an incredible organisation empowering diverse innovators to create sustainable ventures. Their work in fostering entrepreneurship and innovation is paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable business landscape, and it was inspiring to see their impact firsthand. Black Square 2024 brought together thought leaders, policymakers, and activists—all united in their commitment to driving social justice and meaningful change. The event fostered open and honest discussions on leadership, community building, and the ongoing need for systemic transformation in how Black communities are represented across sectors. As we continue to build momentum towards a more inclusive society, it's clear that collaboration and community leadership will be essential to achieving lasting change. I am grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many inspiring individuals and to be part of such a powerful event. Thank you to everyone who made Black Square 2024 such a success.
